One big reason why brick and mortar high end audio dealers struggle.
Good points. I hadn't been to ANY audio retailers since Ieft DC for Huntsville, Alabama in 2006. And even in DC then there were only a couple brick & mortar stores left. Whilst I certainly never felt pressure to make an appt and any retailer i...

What do audiophiles do in their cars?
Most higher end, esp European, cars have such extensive sound deadening and even tuning that greatly diminishes ambient noise - some even have white noise generators built in (e g. Bentley). Somehow they also tune it so you can hear the motor (esp...
Whether to do anything about the limitations of our ears
Great question. I am hearing sibilance from all sources (home and car), but not on all recordings. It must be my ears, no? Sad.

Looking for new speakers for large audio room
Perfect for Magnepans. At least 1.7is. but you have to have the power for them. They will absolutely blow you away in big room like that.
Sibilance
Preamp has isolators not cd player (short of what was provided stock) or Bluesound 2i.
Sibilance
Well, oddly, it comes and goes even in the "Time" recording I have in the Gold Mobile Fidelity Ultradisk! I can't afford several thousand dollars for Maggie stands nor do I need them any taller lol. I probably can't afford any fix but I am curious...
Sibilance
I will listen to old gold CD today.
