I am sure your transport is just fine to get started with a different dac...I wouldn't worry about this right now...pick the best dac you can...technology is changing fast...can likely pick up some that were "the best" just 1-3 years ago for less ...

it depends...and these types of transports can get pricey. The Esoteric and dCS transports are likely amongst the best at a cost. Esoteric seems to be one of the few that (used) to make SACD and DVD transportsAlso some drives just read the disc in...

68pete, depends if you plan to upgrade down the line..if so, I'd get a the Ref mm1, if you don't switch out much...go for the Ultras...Just fyi, I've reconfigured my system and need 1 less set of interconnects...I've traded in 2 sets of Ref XL MM2...

They are all good cables. I think JL35 said it right..if you can go 2 levels up...then MM1 might be a bit better....but one level up the MM2's are hard to beat...Now some MM1 cables have some nice used pricing...and they are upgradeable...Super an...

Hi, and this arm when properly set up (just once during installation) has a ever so slight tendency to want to move to the inner groove...a slight breath sends it on its way...if you have the stylus on a blank record...so not much mass or nearly a...
