Turntable got absolutely crushed by CD
Digital recording pressed in vinyl vs a digital recording on digital. Now, listen to a real analog recording on analog record vs a the CD of that recording and we can talk. Also, the VPI arm is way to light for that cartridge.
SAT 30K+$$ TONEARM: W O R T H T O H A V E I T ?
@daveyf You are a complete idiot.....I'm sorry but I have to say it. You know Tang moved the SAT off the AS-2000 so now it's just on the AF1. The pic you posted is from 2 months ago, I posted the recent pic with no SAT on the AS-2000. So what are ...
SAT 30K+$$ TONEARM: W O R T H T O H A V E I T ?
@daveyf So you just posted another pic of an SAT on a AF1. I guess your're attempting to troll, but man do you suck at it.
SAT 30K+$$ TONEARM: W O R T H T O H A V E I T ?
@daveyf I don't assume, I know. Below is a link to a picture of his turntables. And guess what, the SAT is on his Airforce one. So let's try this again Davey, what is a better platform for the SAT....a Linn? Haha https://www.whatsbestforum.com/...

Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
@rauliruegas  Any thoughts on the ADC Gold?
what happened to the post on the sat tonearm?
They're continuing to do anything they can to kill the forums. They totally killed Virtual Systems......
New Air Tight PC-7 Cartridge...a contender??
I've heard the 7000, not in the same class of the Air Tight PC-7. For the cost, I don't know of a better MC cartridge that I've heard.
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
Just hooked up a Signet TK-7SU using the Audio Technica AT_LH18 headshell and I'm one very happy camper. If you can find a TK-7SU pick one up, use a heavy headshell and you'll be very very happy.
New Air Tight PC-7 Cartridge...a contender??
I have one and I think it's spectacular. Neutral and engaging like my former Shelter 5000 but with more energy and excitement. The Shelter was a little boring on my system.
Who's absorbing the cost?
My local record store said that their distributor refused to take returns. This is the reason that I only buy new vinyl at Amazon or Elusive Disk now. The manual nature of record pressing increases the changes for blemishes, I'll only deal with a ...
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
@halcro Good point, maybe the original stylus had a defect. Anyway the Jico SAS is awesome, I cant believe they're not making it anymore.
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
@halcro So I finally got around to trying the Shure V15 MKIII with the Jico stylus and you are indeed right, it is very special. I had a NOS standard needle on it and it was boring....lifeless. Put the Jico on it and it comes alive.Quite amazing a...
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
@rauliruegas So I installed the Jico SAS Stylus 1 on the A&R P77 and mounted it on my SME 3012R. I played the first record and it was TERRIBLE.....but I know it has to break in. In the next 3 hours what emerged was a truly amazing sound. Thank...
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
@rauliruegas Am I understanding right that the Jico SAS 1 stylus I bought with the A&R P77 will also work on a Grace F9E?
