I sure miss my Quad ‘57s! My Emotive Audio Vitas drove my Quad 57’s for 15 years without any issues. But I have also moved on the other speakers and right now find my Bache Tribeca speakers to be more satisfying. Maybe I should connect my Quads again during this lockdown.
Looking to upgrade floorstander speakers. Not boomy at all. The speakers started with the Dayton woofers and it was very good. But the Eton Symphony II woofers are fantastic. I don’t need a subwoofer.
Looking to upgrade floorstander speakers. I should also mention that Bache is now putting the port on the front baffle. That’s how my speaker is.
Looking to upgrade floorstander speakers. I started with a similar position that I had used with the Tempos, which was 3’ from the front wall, 2’ from the side walls and toed in. Where I have them now, which sounds better to me, is 2’ from the front wall, 30 inches from the side walls, an...
Looking to upgrade floorstander speakers. I should add that I’m using 50 watt tube amps in a 13’x 22’ room.
Looking to upgrade floorstander speakers. My suggestion would be to demo Bache Audio’s Tribeca-002 with the Elton Symphony II woofers. I have had many speakers in the past and still have Quad ESL 57s rebuilt by Quadsunlimited and Audio Physic Tempo Plus speakers. I have demoed Harbeth M3...
Looking into speaker upgrade/change? Well, I don’t have the Classic 30 but I do have the Tempo Plus. I’m about 20 miles from the AP distributor and bought them from them. I went with the Tempos as they are better in a music only system. The Classic series was made to fit better in a ...
I need a good looking and good sounding speaker .... Take a trip to Brooklyn and visit Bache Audio.
Super tweeter for FullRange Driver My Bache Audio Tribeca’s use the Fostex FT96 EX-2 tweeter with a modified Tang Band wide band driver. I believe it’s crossed over around 8K. It’s a great sounding tweeter. You may get good results aiming it at the ceiling. Another option would be ...
Speaker for Line Magnetic LM 518IA in Large Room If you can get to Brooklyn you should listen to Bache Audio's newest version of the Tribeca with the Eton Symphony II woofers. These speakers have a big, tonally balanced, holographic sound that's very coherent and easy on the ears (non-fatiguing)...
Floor standing speaker recommendations new or used, $10,000 and under Bache Audio Tribeca 002 with the Eton Hexacone Symphony II woofers. Very coherent and holographic sound that’s balanced from top to bottom. The Eton woofers produce a tight bass that combines speed and warmth.
Speakers that can reveal orchestral instruments' positions My Audio Physic speakers image better than my Bache Tribeca speakers as far as instrument placement. However the wider dispersion from the Bache’s sounds more natural to me when I’m listening to orchestral music.
Rethm Maargra Speaker: High efficiency, very easy impedance, built for SET amps. I do like a number of systems using full/wide range drivers, particularly when those drivers are actually used in multi-way systems. My Bache Audio Tribeca speakers use a wide band driver, sans the whizzer, augmented by a super tweeter and 2 woof...
Harbeth Love and your experiences I thought I would love Harbeth as a Quad 57 owner. I listened to the M30.2’s a few times but they didn’t do it for me. I ended up with a different speaker.
Emotive sira? I'm going by memory, but I think the 7044 was warmer sounding compared to the 5687 and 6900. I may have even tried different cathode follower tubes and the 6080. I would have to check my tube stash to confirm. You can always just send me a PM and ... |
