Up to $4000US tower speakers for Jazz and Classical Music Take a look at Bache Audio. I have had Quad ESLs and even Shahinian speakers, which are tailor made for classical music. I prefer my Bache Tribeca’s for both Blue Note jazz and Mahler symphonies.
After years of separates, I'm going integrated. Anyone else do the same? @runwell Yes it is a class D amp. I’m very impressed so far. I was never fond of class D in the past.
Your thoughts on my quest for new speakers I agree with twoleftears. Go visit Bache.
After years of separates, I'm going integrated. Anyone else do the same? For the past week I have been using a Jeff Rowland Continuum S2 in my system. It's still breaking in but so far I am very pleased with it. My tube separates are an Emotive Audio Epifania preamp and Vita mono blocks. I love them but the amps are ju...
Speaker Suggestions My suggestion would be to contact Greg Belman from Bache Audio and arrange a demo. I have been living with the Tribeca’s for just over 2 years and I’m enjoying my music more than ever. It’s a big, holographic, smooth sound that’s very coherent and...
New Herron VTPH 2A versus used Audio Research Reference 2 Phono Yes the Herron is no longer made, which is a shame because it’s a fantastic phono stage.
Harbeth again…or other speakers for acoustic music? Harbeths are too colored for my taste. I agree. I demoed the M30.2’s a few times. Not for me. There’s a Youtube video where GR Research takes apart the small Harbeths. I couldn’t believe the crossover for a 2 way. It’s is made up of about 30 c...
"Transferred from original analogue master tapes" I believe that it needs to say cut from the original master tapes to be all analog. Anything else could mean a digital transfer from the tape.
Devore or Audio Note or other sensitive speakers: wanting to listen in Denver But re-selling is probably harder for all these lesser known brands, eh? I thought about that before I bought my Bache Audio Tribeca’s. However, I compared the Tribeca’s side by side in my room with speakers that cost slightly more. The Bache’s...
Blue Circle Gear? I don’t have experience with their preamps but did own a BC-204 amp that had issues. I would cringe every time I turned the amp on because I sometimes I would hear a loud pop noise.
Recommendations for tube preamp (Emotive Audio Sira) repair in the Raleigh/Durham NC area? I had a Sira in my system for a short period. When Fred released the Epifania I moved up to that. If you ever want to take your Sira up a few notches you should speak with Fred about the CuTf V-Caps and the autoformer volume control. My Epifani...
High Fidelity Sound Speaker As a Bache Audio Tribeca owner, I don't understand why more manufacturers don't use so called "full range" drivers as midrange drivers. I sold my PK rebuilt Quad 57s after 14 years because I felt that the Tribeca's were more enjoyable. Prior to he...
Capital Audio Fest Notes I drive my Bache Audio Tribeca's with Emotive Audio Vita monoblocks. These are extremely well designed tube amps using 6550 tubes for about 50 watts per side. I have also had nice results using Pass Labs amps. But, IME, these speakers sing beautif...
Does anyone have info on Innotech D-24 loudspeakers designed by Shahinian? I have owned Shahinian speakers and have spent time at the shop listening to music with Richard. On different occasions Richard had played music through a pair of Innotechs and another speaker he had designed for ADS that never went into productio...
Thoughts on moving from a 1200G to Sota Saphire or above @bfoura One of these days I probably will switch cartridges on both tables. The only cartridge that I used with both tables was the Cadenza bronze. To my ears it sounded slightly leaner with the SL-1210. |
