Klipsch Forte III--Pleasantly Surprised
Hi Mrdecibel! Always good to see you around these parts. I did damp my mid horn. I’m curious about dampening the interior cabinet but I didn’t want to upset the magic that’s there. Do you think swapping out crossovers for “better” parts would be o...
Klipsch Forte III--Pleasantly Surprised
The Creek should mate well with the Fortes. They do sound great with low powered amps but I found they sound better with a bit more power in my room.
Two Nice Small Tweaks to Klipsch Forte III Loudspeakers
Hi 3 Easy!  Yes, I was aware of that issue and that Klipsch doesn't recommend stands or legs.  However, this is not a stand or legs--just a entirely flat platform that is more solid than a suspended wood floor.  What's more, it seems an isolation ...
Best integrated tube amplifier, under $3,000.00. No phono needed. Could be used, too.d
I would look at brands Line Magnetic, Primaluna, Rogue and the brand/model Elekit 300b.  But as others state above your room size and power requirements play a significant role in matching too.
Klipsch, introduces The Cornwall IV, and I think it will be a killer !
Take a look at this review of the Cornwall IV: "but I’ll go out on a limb and say it’s [Cornwall IV] the best-sounding horn speaker you can buy… at any price." https://positive-feedback.com/show-reports/instant-rmaf-2019-show-impressions/ I wonder...
Isolation Platform to Raise & Isolate Loudspeakers
After another four hours of listening and swapping them in and out, I think the best description is that the midrange and treble have become better defined--ironically not the low end as much. The techy folks can either chalk this up to placebo or...
Isolation Platform to Raise & Isolate Loudspeakers
The subdudes help, just as they did my REL.  Things sound better.  I'm not sure how to phrase it other than saying a good touch more coherent.  Surprisingly, the high end sounds more together. Hmmm. Inexpensive tweak.
Isolation Platform to Raise & Isolate Loudspeakers
Thank you MillerCarbon!  I think you outlined this nicely. three-easy, what type of platform are you considering? DIY? I'm super curious.

Also, MusicDirect.com is not listing the Cornwall IV--only the Cornwall III for a slight discount.

FYI--There are 5 posts about Klipsch today on the forum.  That's great!

@mrdecibel, Can you tell us more about the sound differences between the Forte III v C-Wall IV? I have the Fortes as you may recall. I’d be lying if I didn’t say an upgrade is possible if the difference was meaningful.   I’m very curious about you...
What are your favorite DSD albums?
You can include Sacd and I can see if they exist in DSD
What are your favorite DSD albums?
Great recommendations!  I was contemplating that Hendrix and love Ray Brown. I’m going to sample Meghan Andrews. Love female vocals.
Tubes or not
OP, check out the Doge Audio tube DAC. It’s about $1400 shipped. Parts and build are fantastic. It’s feature rich and sounds amazing. Like you, I’m a vinyl guy. This DAC is just wonderful. It does DSD, which is one of your requirements. Some of the...
