| McIntosh MC275Mk4 with a pre or Mcintosh 6900? the 6900 has autoformers, and compared to some ss brands is more tubelike. the mc275 with a c220 would also be a killer combo. i use the 275 with a c22 and it is excellent, even on power hungry gradients. | |

| FM Acoustics Amplifiers fm stuff is incredible, but i would be more inclined to compare it sonically with goldmund, ensemble or revox then boulder. boulder sounds much closer to krell..and there's nothing wrong with that at all. | |
| Bose 901...really the 901 is still an enigma, just like the klipsch kornerhorn. for big rock and classical, it hangs in with most new designs, and ironically many music lovers dig it. for better or worse its going to outlive most hi end brands too. | |

| Getting off the merry-go-round – AFRAID TO??? except for abbey road(b&w) i have yet to visit a name facility that uses anything but jbl 4400 or 4600 pro monitors to mix major artist releases. i would not however recommend them for anything but the studio. | |

| Mcintosh vs. Audio Research tube preamps the c22 commemorative is superb in every way, and the newer c220 and c2200 as well. i wouldn't describe them (or the arc's) as anything but neutral however...not like a cj or the holy grail, marantz 7. | |
