b&w htm2 vs. matrix 805 for center
I have been using an htm 1 with my signature 805s for ht. I recently made the move changing my center to another sig 805 and the blend is now flawless. If you listen to music in any surround modes then I would suggest buying the same speaker as yo...
Any Experience with Anthem Products?
Anthem is a good deal of the cash. A bit above B&K but not quite meridian, krell, theta, etc. But, as stated for the money it's a good product. I believe they are now making an upper scale version of the processor too, but the price is signifi...
How much to distribute on...
Go with the krell and sonus system. However, if you really want great HT then I would look at getting b&w nautilus as they are faster which is better for HT.MHO
Best Processor Choice...
Meridian is da bomb to quote a familiar friend. Rotel is my amp currently with a meridian pre/pro. I feel the meridian is in another class really. Cary is great but still out classed. Now, Krell and Theta are good to compare against. Additionally,...
B&W Signature 805s v. Merlin TSM-Ms ?
Sorry if my comments seemed pointed. I'm not saying the forward gear was lacking; instead it might not complement the sigs. as well as another setup. Apples and oranges really. One not better than the other, simply different.JWH
B&W Signature 805s v. Merlin TSM-Ms ?
Agreed, B&W does rock just fine. Maybe his other end needs to be replaced.
B&W 805 versus Dynaudio 52SE
sigs might be a little bright, but are definately accurate. Both are great speakers.JWH
B&W Signature 805s v. Merlin TSM-Ms ?
Couldn't agree more Jwells, as my original post states. Unfortunately, it sounds like he cannot demo the two side by side. My suggestion was that if he likes the sig. and can't demo the two together then why not go with the sigs? Better to have wh...
What's Good 5.1 pre/pre with DD, DTS, DPL II
I must agree, the bryston is simple but elegant. It is more refined if that's a good term. The meridian, and I prefer this to lexicon all day, is refined but yet a great toy for geeks like myself.JWH
B&W Signature 805s v. Merlin TSM-Ms ?
Last review is good for the Merlin versus the nautilus line, however, nautilus and signature are VERY different. Nautilus is a good speaker, the reason I use them for surrounds, while the signature is a fantastic speaker, why I use them for fronts...

The 20 bit has less processing power than the 24 bit. I use the 561 and had the 568 for about six months. Like yourself, 5.1 is all I required, so I saved some cash and sold the 24 bit 568 in favor of the 561. Honestly, I cannot tell a huge differ...

Addendum:Bryston is a great unit but is primarily known for fine stereo not HT. If you want both go with Meridian or Theta.JWH
B&W Signature 805s v. Merlin TSM-Ms ?
I've got the 805s and love them. MHO, if you like the sound of the sigs. after hearing and haven't heard the Merlins, go with the Sigs. You know what your getting.

Meridian, Meridian, and Meridian. The 561 and 568 can be picked up at good prices. Upgradable via internet software.JWH
