| Inexpensive Audiophile Set-up? D,I think NAD has a rep for being detailed and accurate, with good bass control, perhaps not as smooth and lush in the midrange. Adcom has similar rep, so smoother cdp like parasound might be better match. Other contenders from Rotel, Arcam, Marantz. | |

| CD Changers If you go external DAC, be aware that digital receivers will digitize the analog inputs and then reconvert to analog. Some receivers and pre/pros will have a "direct" or "bypass" mode to pass the analog signal around the AD-DA process. Not an issu... |
