Tchernov cables. Anyone knows anything about them?
Not really. I already got used to a better sound I have now and don't think about cables. Heard that Tchernov were coming up with Ultimate tonearm cable, not sure about Reference tonearm cable. Good move.
Looking for thoughts from Nottingham Analog table owners
Yeah, low noise and low distortion are really important.Overall, I think Nottingham owners are quite happy with the sound they get. They keep upgrading too but usually not the table itself.
Buyer wants copy of passport?
Do you people think that the OP is sincere ?
Buyer wants copy of passport?
I would tell those potential buyers no in a very obscene language of their choice. NEVER do it. Video is another thing, I wouldn't do it either, though.

Nottingham is by no means a dark sounding table, but it is on a warmer side of neutral. My Goldring 1042 fully opened up after 100 hours, I think it was 110 or 120.I am not surprised with the official Nottingham recommendation of Nagaoka. Nagaoka ...

Finnish language belongs to Uralic language group, along with Hungarian and Estonian. The oldest spoken European language isolate is Euskara, Basque language.First learn things then speak.
Why does all new pop music sound the same?
" In Finland the people speak Finnish ". That's incredibly insightful." the most musical of all languages ". Double insightful. We got a genius here.Schubert, Finland is not the most interesting country at all. Pardon me, but this is nonsense.
PC suggestions for a Gryphon Diablo 300
There is a used Purist Dominus Revision C Ferox power cord for sale here. It is mostly silver alloy. Gryphon uses silver wiring. That's what I would try first, before spending much more on Gryphon power cord.
Which one is the best INTEGRATED!!
Well, for more fun I'll mention Ypsilon and Absolare. I won't mention Kondo.
Why are the vocals on some records hidden behind the music on my system?
Oh yeah, forgot to mention this. Clean a few records again, see if it makes a difference. Just in case.
Why are the vocals on some records hidden behind the music on my system?
Really, just talk to Peter. He is an audiophile, he uses VPI tables, that's his cartridge - he should know how to proceed further. Might save you a lot of time and effort. I think, VTA and anti-skate should always be set by ear with setting VTA fi...
Why are the vocals on some records hidden behind the music on my system?
I heard that Soundsmith cartridges are capricious, require very ( too ) precise alignment, VTA and anti-skate to sound right. Peter is a perfectionist of a sort. I suggest you talk to him. Each record has different thickness, that cartridge might ...
Why does all new pop music sound the same?
Generally speaking, talking about modern cables is more interesting than talking about modern music. But there are exceptions. Listen to some Mongolian rock and rap music, as an example. Also, just because someone is old doesn't mean he is rigid an...
Can cables of any cost and quality provide bass response missing in my B&W speakers?
As a cable guy I will say it clearly - forget about it. In any case, you want balanced cables not 'tone controls'. The only thing you might want to try is to put a better power cord on the amp. Other than that - sorry, you need better speakers, bu...

Tom Fletcher designed the Spacedeck/Spacearm with MM cartridges in mind. The Nottingham cartidges, no longer made I guess, were based on Goldring MM. That's what I use, Goldring 1042. There is a lot of a sound in that cartridge if your components ...
