Wiring 2 outlets to 2 dedicated 20 amp circuits with a single 10/3 electrical wire.
Two - the layman that wants to understand a particular electrical question really needs some Electricity 101 before getting an in depth technical explanation. The layman has too many misconceptions and misunderstandings about electricity that nee...
I have found out why new cables and tweaks actually work!
In all seriousness, I kind of remember someone, either here or on AA, saying that spraying cables & interconnects with that antistatic stuff for laundry had a positive sonic effect.  And I am pretty sure I remember he was serious about that.
Dedicated Line - Things to consider
@immatthewj please let us know what you’ve heard as a result of the test when you get around to it @audphile1 , over the past couple of weeks I put in some sessions on the new dedicated circuits that I replaced the old "dedicated circuits" with...
Soundstage drastically worsened when I replaced a solid state AV amp with tubes.
You guys think my ideas were too obvious but ... I have gone through exactly these issues at two different dealers. The excessively wide Soundstage was due to a speaker polarity flip. @erik_squires , this got me thinking about an amp I audition...
Wiring 2 outlets to 2 dedicated 20 amp circuits with a single 10/3 electrical wire.
And now I’ve got a quad panel on my wall and wonder if I can do 2 dedicated circuits to be wired into that one 2 outlet plastic box inserted into my wall. Or do I need to create a new hole in the wall for the new dedicated outlet and convert quad...
life span/failure rate of filter capacitors?
Thanks, @bigkidz  , I am going to call Monday (after the X-mas holiday, so if there is any holiday madness going on at Partsconnexion that will be done with).  Thanks again.

Our house was built in the '60s also, and some of the wiring was somewhat upgraded and some was the original 2 blade outlets and it had the glass screw-in fuse box.  One of the best (and actually relatively affordable) upgrades I ever did was to b...

They would probably tear at each other's clothes, like Lucy & Ethel. That's an interesting concept.

Maintaining a "Balanced" System Design?
Perhaps purchase cabling on a trial or loan basis with an iron clad return policy….  The Cable Company used to do that, maybe they still do.  You could give them a call about that.
life span/failure rate of filter capacitors?
Thanks, @bigkidz  , I will remember that. As it stands presently, I do not think I am having a problem with the amp, but reading that thread that I continue to reference from the OP with a 20 year old V12 which had a (what I am now sure is a ) PO...
Maintaining a "Balanced" System Design?
Of course that brought me to looking at amplification and I am sure everyone knows the story from here... Yup . . . I definitely know the story.
Greatest Songwriter of all time
If I haven't done so already, I am putting Lucinda Williams on the list.
life span/failure rate of filter capacitors?
@immatthewj  - if the amp is idle then those years typically do not count but it all depends on how much is was run for the 14 years.   Like I mentioned above, you can use a larger value but make sure they fit.  You can call Chris Johnson at Pa...
life span/failure rate of filter capacitors?
(And I assume that the filter caps are the large electrolytic caps with the screw in terminals?) I’m pretty sure you are speaking of power caps. Filter caps are the small uF units that filter out unwanted signal. The big (blue?) ones with thread...
