My Demo results: I feel like I'm at a frustrating block in my speaker journey
“If the Tannoy XT6Fs sounded dark in your system, I suggest looking into a different amp. These are anything but dark.”Only a 10 minute audition and they went back in the box. My Tannoy's took 100 hours of break in before they were decent, and it ...

Power cords can make a tremendous difference in Digital

What in your mind represents real technological advancement.
+1 cd318While I had a grasp of Ed’s audio accomplishments, I wasn’t aware of his profound success elsewhere. Fun read, thanks for sharing!
Supratek or Don Sachs - which way to go?
The Modwright is a fine Preamp and particularly with good NOS tubes, it sounds fantastic. However It’s only when you compare it to the Supratek does one draw the conclusion it’s a little more grainy. Let’s put it other way..... the Supratek more; ...
Supratek or Don Sachs - which way to go?
@facten The Syrah was replaced by the Chenin around 2003. The main difference was the tubes used in the preamp phono section and the Chenin uses the Cortese phono circuit. The Chardonnay model is the current line stage iteration with no Phono sect...
Who makes this Pre-amp?
If I recall correctly I seen a few used TRL Dude preamps that had an option volume control along with the core requirements you laid out. There are a number of rightly regarded members praise it somic capabilities..
