Rock performers that play/record a different genre
I've always liked Neil Young with the Shocking Pinks doing rockabilly. I also think Maynard James Keenan's work as Puscifer is more interesting than Tool.
First table, second cartridge, ...
Many folks prefer the SUT option. Personally, I've been really happy with well-built phono stages. You could go up the Vincent chain and check out the PHO-701. I've used that one and love it. Lehmann is another brand I really enjoy. Anyway, in my ...
what’s a song cover that you think is better than the original?
John Coltrane "My Favorite Things" Nirvana "The Man Who Sold The World" Talking Heads "Take Me To The River"
Best integrated amps
No. Not worth the change. Listen to ghdprentice. You're not going to find anything better for $300. NAD 3020 is a classic. You'd have to spend a lot more to out perform it. What are your sources and speakers? Keep the 3020 and focus on those if y...
Tracking force
If this is it then should be .75-1.5g. I generally keep the anti-skate on my SL-1200 the same as the VTF.
Need some suggestions for a desktop amp.
@jb505 I think you'll be surprised by the Sprout. Congrats!

PS Audio Sprout100.
Low Output MC recommendations?
Love both my AT33Sa and VAS Ebony 103 (essentially a custom DL103). But no idea what your budget is or the effective mass of your tonearm.
Need some Cart recommendations, $300 - $700 (New/Used) range…warm, full, yet great def.
I would definitely consider an AT33Sa (MC, Shibata, .4mv) . I run it through a passive pre and st-70 tube amp...glorious detail with all the warmth.
Turntable noobie...what advice do you have?
Music Millennium? You must be in Portland - like me! Great place. Definitely check out Mississippi Records, Tomorrow Records (lower Hawthorne), Exiled Records (upper Hawthorne), and Dig Vinyl in Sellwood. Discogs online is fun - once you find trus...
Vintage Integrated Amplifiers With Great Sound
I have several integrateds, different classes, modern and vintage. The one that keeps coming back into the fold is my Sansui AU-999. Built like a tank, beautiful soundscape, warm and detailed, more than enough juice. Phono stage is excellent too.
Tuner choice
Sansui TU-999 is my favorite. NAD 4300 also treats me right.
Speaker matching for Audiolab 6000A
A bit out of your budget, but if you can stretch it, I can attest to the fact that the ProAc Tab 10 are an excellent match with the Audiolab 6000A. Especially for near-field listening. Incredible mids/highs without any crispy edges.
NAD M10 vs Marantz Model 30
If you’re worried about the Sprout filling that room, you should wait and try it first. 100w is plenty...same as the M30. I have a Sprout too, and the thing can produce huge sound when needed...and with excellent detail. As dekay mentioned, I woul...
