Audio Science Review = Rebuttal and Further Thoughts You did not discuss about my point on how the sound travels through our ears canals, to the cochlea and finally to the brain which analyzes it - which we define as music or sound. Now if you could explain that process and how it is similar in all...
Accuphase E-408 voltage conversion imhififan @holmz I checked everything, the amplifier works well. Thanks for your professionalism. You have done me a great service. Kind regards, Victor I could call ^that^ a Victor-Y 😀
Enough noise reduction? @yage nice!
SUT - electrical theory and practical experience … , L+R Channel Gain,… @pindac is a gain imbalance common in cartridges? (I have a cart with some channel imbalance, hence the question.)
Audio Science Review = Rebuttal and Further Thoughts Oh gawd… not again.
Balanced vs. Single Ended Interconnects holmz , I am up to any trial you would want to perform. Though I am an adherent to the new AQ cables, I am open to trying new things-esp, things that have an intrinsic scientific background- like using cotton instead of a DBS system. You onl...
Audio Science Review = Rebuttal and Further Thoughts the funniest ASR guys are the ones who love vinyl but feel the need to qualify every statement about records or turntables with "look, i know it's not as good as digital, yes i understand that objectively i deserve to be criticized for it, but......
Balanced vs. Single Ended Interconnects FWIW, I used the cables Ralph sold me with his amps/preamps(-Mogami), when my dealer recommended AQ, I really couldn't hear much of a difference, despite the AQ being significantly more expensive. (I forget the model, but they did not have the di...

Why are there so many wooden box speakers out there? Baffle shape, size, rounded edges, etc. are all things done by many manufacturers. Forget the sphere as the front of it is doing most of the work here. @o_holter @budjoe @schwantner … good points.
How To Connect a DAC? Oh, I’m in Duluth. I know ~50+ people in Duluth, but none to my knowledge are into this stuff. But you can stop at the donut shop in Hinckley on your way to the cities. 😉
Why are there so many wooden box speakers out there? Should wooden boxes be made illegal Yeah - I suppose with the penalty of death? But only if we then bury the offender in a wooden coffin to drive the point home with some irony.
Why are there so many wooden box speakers out there? @holmz I think you’ve misunderstood the purpose of this thread. I am not here to prove to you that spheres are better. That has already been done by other engineers many years ago. I am skeptical… are they better… how would i know? I am dis...

How To Connect a DAC? Minnesota is a bit of a hotbed for audio manufacturerers. You should be able to find a good shop in the twin cities. I know a few people around Duluth and Millacs lake. |
