Why is there no love for Prima Luna?
Speaking of Chinese gear...Possibly of interest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvQkJYKYw0o&t=3s&ab_channel=TheNextBestThingStudio
Subwoofer placement - does it matter?
I moved my sub around and measured from the sweet spot with a mic. It makes a big difference, and one can also hear it if you do a "sub crawl." (Google that.) Besides moving it to different locations in the room, try raising or lowering it. Also g...
Which speakers to be ''in'' the music?
I don't own these, but I'd have to think Magnepans or similar type speakers
Why do some think "music" (not gear, trading, etc.) is the ultimate end?
@whart Thank you for your eloquent post, and the reference. I’m wanting to write about the experience of listening in an age of technological distraction from the point of view of philosophy, so this is an important thread on which I can pull. My ...

Why do some think "music" (not gear, trading, etc.) is the ultimate end?
I appreciate the replies so far. I was hoping to understand why some feel justified in asserting the "the music" matters more than or to the exclusion of the gear or the process or putting a system together, improving it, etc. Many are pointing ou...
Why do some think "music" (not gear, trading, etc.) is the ultimate end?
Maybe I missed the point of your post as a rejoinder to the other thread, @hilde45, but who said you can’t love gear for its own sake? Many do, and I can’t improve on the way I asked the question in the OP or the rejoinders. @rocknss made a comment...

When does my class Atoll IN200 A/B integrated switch from class A to class B?
George, I’ve quoted them verbatim. They claimed it twice. I like their product. That’s not in question.
Why do some think "music" (not gear, trading, etc.) is the ultimate end?
@fuzztone  Why do you answer or read "dopey" questions? Maybe it's not as dopey as you think. I took time to word the question carefully and I'm not inclined to waste people's time. So, please just refrain from answering my OP's if you think they'...
When does my class Atoll IN200 A/B integrated switch from class A to class B?
It seems proved as BS. What I'm amazed at is that I confronted them via email with the evidence it couldn't be true and they just repeated the BS. I may give them one more chance to come clean but nothing really hangs on it -- I'm just a berserker...
Why do some think "music" (not gear, trading, etc.) is the ultimate end?
I have no dog in this fight either and I have seen pictures of the insides of  amplifiers with people saying things like look at those beautiful mosfets or those beautiful toroids.I suspect that many people are so afraid that the music is going to...
When does my class Atoll IN200 A/B integrated switch from class A to class B?
Thank you George and others. You have told me what I wanted to hear, namely the truth with explanations. I did not buy this amplifier with the expectation that it would be class a for very many watts. I think this inquiry has taught me something a...
When does my class Atoll IN200 A/B integrated switch from class A to class B?
Quick follow up. I discovered this comment about their more advanced amp and I sent it to Atoll:What I found said, “The high bias allows the IN400SE to operate in a Class A for the first ten watts before going into Class AB operation."http://www.t...
