Small footprint subwoofer
I decided to go with the REL R218. This came with the high level cable. I have the option to high level or line level signal. What would be better to use on? For the high level, I am using an Adcom GFA-5500.

Thanks for the response. The room null I am have right now is above the xo point anywhere around 90 to 120hz. Most likely is due the position of the speakers and the in room response. The node is at around 60hz so I have corrected most of the i...

@ soix  I am not saying there is no instruments lower then 30z. There is but very limited and the experience is more of a feel then hearing it. 88 keys piano range can go 27.5hz and pipe organ can go as low as 16hz. A bass guitar has or a double b...
Small footprint subwoofer
@jastralfu  True but my situation and room size, I dont need overwhelming bass. I do however have a room node at around 60hz but that can be fix with by integrating the sub with the proper settings on the sub and placement.  Even at that, the xo p...

Thanks for the recommendations. The KEF is nice but it is out of my range.  @soix The SVS SB-1000pro was a consideration a while back but still think would be too big for my room especially going two subs. I get the performance aspect of it but I...
10dB resonant peak at 40Hz
@cdc What are you using to verify that it was 40hz? Do you have an HVAC system near the room? As silly it my seems,  I have a 30hz peak in my room and it is similar in size so every time the AC unit is on which is right above the room, presents ru...
New expensive power cord for amp and no change in sound?
Really? Let be logical here. Honestly I have not tried an expensive power cord in my system but all I can say is that if cables does make a difference, it would probably be in IC. Power cable would be the last chain and the least priority. We to r...
Threshold Stasis S/150
@unsound Probably is but at a reasonable level, it shouldnt be a problem. With my room treated with basic reflective points, it made a big difference.
Thoughts on an older REL sub?
@m-db Thanks. In what way are they different?
Thoughts on an older REL sub?
Thanks for the responses. @jjss49. Yes the Q201E might be a old I am able to get it in good condition.
ATC SCM40
Thank for the response.  I have heard that they are power hungry speakers with their low sensitivity rating. What do you think?
Musical subwoofer under $2000
@lemonhaze Great advice on room response. Some don’t have tools to use to dial in the sub or subs if more then two so they play it by ear. Luckily I have REW but I use more with DIv2 a Rational Acoustics software and for this purpose it is great. ...
The subwoofer site we don't talk about enough
Good to know.
Do you adjust your subwoofer
@liquidsound  I also have a small listening room. I have my sub is also in between my speakers but I have it slightly off center. This give me the the best of both worlds with seamless and tight bass. My Vandersteen 2ci has the adequate bass for ...
Do you adjust your subwoofer
I use one sub in my room and it has worked fine for me. But again I use acoustic software that has RTA, phase , and coherence. If you are listening in one spot only, one should not do much adjustment unless you trying to fill an area that requires...
