Bookshelf speaker recommendations @glennewdick Do you have a link to it? There is alot of comparison on YouTube. @yogiboy Those are nice speakers but really like the SCM11 better for the bigger midbass woofer. Even thought the SCM7 might be more then sufficient for my room, I...
Bookshelf speaker recommendations @panzrwagn Thanks for the response. Most of the recommendation you mention has been addressed already. The room has acoustic panels with 2" thick. Both on the first reflection, rear, and behind the speakers. The speakers are 1/4(about 1.5ft) almos...
Bookshelf speaker recommendations Again, thanks for all the responses. @deep_333 Very interesting data you have posted. Maybe true with pure sine wave sweep but with music it is irrelevant. I have used many bookshelf and even a few floorstanders and didn't have this issue. In fa...
Bookshelf speaker recommendations Thanks for all the responses. @deep_333 Thanks for the recommendation. I have been using my media player and luckily it has a 20 band EQ. The only frequency I need to cut is between 200hz and 300hz maybe up to 350hz. Streamers with that capabili...
Add a subwoofer? @george53 You have a pretty big room so I would suggest no smaller then a 12" and probably two. You haven't mention how you have the room layout and any room treatment. Integration is the key if you know how to mange it.
Quality of recording while evaluating speakers It is a good question that been ask alot. In my prospective to this is that you should evaluate with music you like and familiar with. The reason why music with limited instruments is because space between frequencies. What I mean by this is that ...
Acurus A150 Thank you for the responses. I am really enjoying it.
Acurus A150 Thank you for all the responses. So far I am really enjoying it. It does not have the edgy sound like the Adcom. However, they both have great bass and are indentical but with A150 having alittle more body in the upper bass region then the Adcom. ...
Small footprint subwoofer Thanks for the responses. I have purchase the REL R218 and I am currently auditioning it. It might be too early to comment on its performance but so far I am really enjoying how it is sounding. The bass is extremely clean and articulate for it siz...
Small footprint subwoofer m-db If you are referring the subwoofer crawl, I could have done that which can be a way to find the node but I found a much easier time saving way to find room problem. I personally use Rational Acoustics DIv2 software for this. Is pretty much a...
Small footprint subwoofer I decided to go with the REL R218. This came with the high level cable. I have the option to high level or line level signal. What would be better to use on? For the high level, I am using an Adcom GFA-5500.
Small footprint subwoofer Thanks for the response. The room null I am have right now is above the xo point anywhere around 90 to 120hz. Most likely is due the position of the speakers and the in room response. The node is at around 60hz so I have corrected most of the i...
Small footprint subwoofer @ soix I am not saying there is no instruments lower then 30z. There is but very limited and the experience is more of a feel then hearing it. 88 keys piano range can go 27.5hz and pipe organ can go as low as 16hz. A bass guitar has or a double b...
Small footprint subwoofer @jastralfu True but my situation and room size, I dont need overwhelming bass. I do however have a room node at around 60hz but that can be fix with by integrating the sub with the proper settings on the sub and placement. Even at that, the xo p...
Small footprint subwoofer Thanks for the recommendations. The KEF is nice but it is out of my range. @soix The SVS SB-1000pro was a consideration a while back but still think would be too big for my room especially going two subs. I get the performance aspect of it but I... |
