Tweeters are silent on my Wilson audio Sofia 2 After cranking my Maxx2’s I “lost” my midrange. Turned out I burned out the resistors. Replaced with replacements from Wilson(also have replacements for tweeters and woofers) All’s good again. Call Wilson
Best standalone music server? Not sure of your budget, but Aurender N10 or higher priced W20 are fantastic pieces. I auditioned the N100 and bought the N10 ONLY 'cause the W20 wasn't in my budget. No need to listen to the CD player anymore!
ps audio memory player vs esoteric K-07 or K-05 used. Thanks
Sudden Muddy sounding system The concensus from Pass, Aesthetix and Kef is blown tweeters. Just thought it odd both would go together. And with the "UniQ" speaker, the tweeter is a part of the midrange. So, gotta replace both. Good news is they have them in stock...
Sudden Muddy sounding system Was really hoping it was a cap or something simple(and cheap) I will check it out. Thanks
cables with For what it's worth, I think the Harmonic Tech Magic II's are much better that the Cardas Golden Reference. Probably not what I'm seeking, but clearly the HT Magic II's don't mask the high end detail. Probably don't equal in the bass dept, but, he...
cables with OK- I managed to obtain a pair of Cardas Golden Reference IC's(along with a GR PC) and have to say that yes, indeed, I can hear a clearly increase in bass. Meaning I can clearly hear the bass, but "feel" more of the bass too. Now, I had a Shunyata...
cables with Lloyd, I will try and audition some Transparent references but they do seem a little pricey. Certainly enough so that I won't be buying any without hearing them first. Thank you for your input. Swanny, the Cardas Golden Refs seem to be affordable ...
cables with Thanks Swanny. I see you have the Cardas Golden Refs from pre to amp. I was thinking of getting that cable(XLR) for the same use. Then put the HT Magic 2's elsewhere.(the HT's are XLR's the rest RCAs) I actually found the AU e's a little smoother ...
cables with Thanks for the comments(snide or otherwise) My speakers are Kef 207/2's, Pass labs x350.5 amp and Aesthetix Calypso preamp.Marantz SA8004 CD player and Eastern Electric Minimax DAC and VPI Classic Turntable with Clearaudio Basic Plus pre. Speaker ...
IC's and Speaker cables Oh, I am seriously looking at Acoustic Zen and Harmonic Tech bi-wires for speaker cables. I looked at the Livelines(singles only) and the MIT AVT 1's (bi-wire) and will consider the Mit's if I can't find the above mentioned at a reasonable price. ...
IC's and Speaker cables I have purchased a used set of Harmonic Tech Magic Link II XLR's for pre to amp and a set of Audience AU24e RCA's for CD or phono pre and hope to obtain a quality set of Bi-wire speaker cables next. That should take care of me until I need a DAC. ...
IC's and Speaker cables I see a pair of Harmonic Tech Magic 2's here for sale. XLR's. I think I'd like them for pre to amp. I want to click...Arrrrgh, I'm gonna do it. So, Bi-wire speaker cables and perhaps an IC from the Music Hall MMF and Clearaudio basic plus to pre o...
IC's and Speaker cables I am seriously looking ay Harmonic Tech. Is it the Magic or Magic II IC? I have read nothing but good things about the Magic II but don't know much about the Magic. I have also been looking seriously at the Pro+(Bi-wire.)I would drop coin on eithe... |
