Sudden Muddy sounding system

Suddenly, while cranking some tunes, my system started sounding "muddy". Almost like I blew the tweeters. I highly doubt I blew both but still have to find out what is causing this "muddiness" and lack of definition. It almost sounds like it's underwater. Any common causes of this? Thanks. I have KEF 207/2's driven by a Pass Labs x350.5 and Aesthetix Calypso preamp. Any suggestions would be helpful Sounds the same with CD and LP.

Sounds like blown tweeters- Put one end of a paper-towel tube to your ear and put the other near the tweeter to hear if they're working. I don't know if the KEF's have tweeter fuses- you could certainly check...
Was really hoping it was a cap or something simple(and cheap) I will check it out. Thanks
The concensus from Pass, Aesthetix and Kef is blown tweeters. Just thought it odd both would go together. And with the "UniQ" speaker, the tweeter is a part of the midrange. So, gotta replace both. Good news is they have them in stock...
