A Copernican View of the Turntable System
Well Chris......what can I say? This sounds almost contradictory to the 'Copernican' precept whilst at the same time supporting it?......if you follow me?I'm trying to find the right theoretical position for this revelation?Give me time?Henry
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
Dear David,I agree with our friend Nandric.Very interesting and valuable measurements and conclusions. I also hope you will expand thereupon?Perhaps the Professor (Timeltel) will have some thoughts on your studies? That is if he survives his race a...

Thanks Jazzgene and Downunder,It's interesting to read all the first impressions as they begin to trickle in?It seems there are some who like the full mirror whilst others may prefer a 'frosted' mirror? Personally, I never understood how to correc...

When I first tried to actually use the UNIprotractor, I wished I hadn’t have volunteered to do a review. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t see the stylus?!The package from Germany arrived many days ago and at first I was slightly disappointed ...
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
My sympathies Dgob on your EPC100Mk4.I myself, through sheer clumsiness, have destroyed the stylus to a AT20ss ( Limited Edition) and also and Empire 1000ZE/X.These however require nowhere neer the $700.00 replacement cost quoted for the Technics?...

Dear Raul and Nandric,That guy in Melbourne is a very reputable dealer from whom I have bought one or two items However he is not my main dealer who is Goldenageaudio......also in Melbourne from whom I have bought many more items. You can however m...

Dear Chris,The stainless steel pricing looks better than the brass. The only down side is it is harder to mill yourself so you might need a professional machine shop?I'd go for 316 grade rather 304 as it does not tarnish and is definitely non-magn...

I'm sceptical about all this 'isolation' of the armpod that is being discussed?Sound is transferred in only two ways:-Structure-borne transmissionAir-borne transmissionIn both these cases, we are interested in transmission in two directions......f...

Dear Nandric,Thank you, that's very flattering but I can only 'design' the armpod.....I can't make it.For that I need a good foundry to make the mould and cast the bronze after which I need a good machine shop to make the aluminium top plates and ...

Dear Nandric,I'm certainly not angry with you :-)A little disappointed that you didn't understand my sense of humour about your 'Australia' remark which I found very funny :-)........so I thought you took offence?I hope we're 'cool'?RegardsHenry

Whilst Chris' Guide to making your own armpod is admirable, he appears to have concentrated on his ET parallel-tracking arm which I feel is different to the majority of pivoted arms? When I designed my armpod, I attempted to make it 'universal' in ...

I think he might mean 'S' rather than 'X' in which case it means 'Silver Wire Version'.

Raul,When I changed to the 231.5mm spindle to pivot dimension and 14.5mm overhang, I changed the off-set angle to compensate correctly at the null points.
