I am streaming , how can I play music when provider goes down.
@audioman58 I can't comment on that. My digital set is simple.  Cambridge Audio CXN V2 and i connect a 1TB USB drive for local music.  Never a problem. If you are listening to music in one location and don't have a need to stream video around the ...
I am streaming , how can I play music when provider goes down.
@audioman58 , gowanus mentioned getting the Eversolo which is all the rage right now. Comes in 2 flavors: $700/1300 which I believe is a great deal for what you get. You can plug in your USB drive until you are able to get a drive that installs di...
I am streaming , how can I play music when provider goes down.
@audioman58 I see several people have already answered your question.  You need a streaming server that does not require an internet connection like Roon. My setup is simple,  I only stream in one location,  my dedicated music room. I use a Cambri...
I am streaming , how can I play music when provider goes down.
I'm a network engineer/architect by profession,  just wanted to get that out of the way. The easiest answer to your question,  your internet provider connects through your WAN which is external to your local network,  LAN. Even if your WAN is dow...

After a long, long sleep: ML-335
@mofimadness i think that amp needs some larger panels to take advantage of all that power.  I have Spectra 33's along with a pair of TNT200'S, monoblockeded. Everything modified and upgraded by Roy Esposito. That's a BEAST of an amp.. I would be...

What was your first record?
@coltrane1 yes, those were the days.  During my bi-weekly listening sessions,  after I've turned on my system on Thursday night to be all warmed up, Kind of Blue is in that rotation.  Enjoy the Music my brotha...

Watermelon test for audiophiles!
Tapping a watermelon is just part of testing to see if it's ready to eat. You need to look at the navel to make sure it's brown, not green,  also look at the skin color to make sure it's a bit faded. Then it's on to the smell test.. ;) I know non...
Best way to clean glossy finish on speakers?
@yyzsantabarbara isn't part.of the reason you've purchased those glossy speakers is for the esthetics? Putting covers over them when not in use IMO, makes them an eyesore, but what do I know.  I'm tje same person that never puts a case over my pho...
What do you hear with a better/bigger power supply and output capacitors in same amp?
@jji666 TNT200'S are stable below 2ohms. Roy Esposito was one of the original engineers for Acoustat he is the person who rebuilt and upgraded my Amps and Speakers.
What do you hear with a better/bigger power supply and output capacitors in same amp?
I purchased 2 Acoustat TNT200’s to have rebuilt and converted to Monoblocks. They were purchased to power my Acoustat Spectra 33’s, which I also have rebuilt and upgraded. Before the conversion I used 1 amp in stereo mode to power the Spectra 33’...
