Rwwear, you bring up a good point. . . seems though that, in the common lore, SS has ended up denoting almost any circuit with no major moving mechanical, electronecanical, electromagnetic, optomagnetic, parts, no vacuum tubes, and no old style fe...

Dob, I am slightly confused. . . if class D or T switching amps are not solid state, what are they supposed to be. . . if anyone has designed a new classification, I am not yet aware of it. Please enlighten us.

Apologies CDC, I take my Ong Choy very seriously, I personally trim the stocks and tune them to resonate way outside audible range, which is very important when consuming uhr. . . certain foods.

If you audition the Spectron, also have a listen to other leading class D amps. . . JRDG 312 and Continuum 500 in the Soundings/JRDG/Sumiko Suite, and Mark Levinson No. 53 for example. G.
