jeff rowland 501 & 201 vs. bel canto ref1000
One of the Bel Canto Ref 1000 Mk.2 amps has just slightly over 500 hours on it, the other one had only 80 hours. Hence, I suspect that many of the issues . discussed above, may have to do with the very asymmetrical break in of the Mk.2 amps. I am ...
Jeff Rowland 501s and PC1s
Clavil, how did you use the PC1s without the JRDG original wires to connect them with the 501s? You seem to have received the PC1 to amp wires just a couple of days ago. G.

Hi Brazcole, which high end power cord have you liked best with Criterion? What about with 312? Guido
Jeff Rowland 501s and PC1s
Clavil, are you using 1 or 2 PC1 devices? The 501 monos require 2 of them. You should allow for about 300 hours of break in on the PC1s before they stabilize. Guido
Wyred4S or Belles for Usher Be718?
Thank you Dgad, I agree, tubes can be captivating. Which sound is 'better' is of course a matter of personal preference. For what's worth, even within the same brand, including class D amps, price and sonic signature can vary enormously. I believe...

Avguygeorge, are you open to brands other than MIT and Transparent? My balanced system consists of TEAC X-01 Limited, JRDG Capri linestage, JRDG 312, and Vienna Mahler speakers. Wire brands that I found to be synergistic with JRDG are Shunyata (An...
Has anyone listened to the Wyred 4 Sound ICE amps?
Have you done a search in the Agon fora for Wire4Sound, for ICEpower, or for 'class D'? There are already a few threads that deal with Wired4Sound and other class D amplifiers. Guido
Are there any Violin or Cello players out there?
Thank you Kijanki. My point exactly, I am sure that if needed, appropriately dense spruce could be sourced from as north as the Arctic circle. BTW, I stand corrected, the latin name of genus Picea used to fabricate the top of violins translates to...
Are there any Violin or Cello players out there?
Ms. Choi seems to be a sad representative of the typical follower of New Age science 'curriculum'. . . If the ideal pine no longer can be found on the Northern slope of the Southern Alps, all she would need is to fell timber from slopes from the m...

Treble of Vienna Acoustics Haydn Grand?
"I then set them up in Room B or the small room, well away from the back and spies walls and in an equilateral triangle position with the listener. 20” stands were used to prop them up."Fasinating really. . . sounds like it must have taken at most...
Are there any Violin or Cello players out there?
It is worth considering that the majority of traditional wooden instruments past and present, like cellos, violins, etc. . . just sound very bad. However, as they have been made for so long, and there have been so many luthiers in history, there ar...
