Excellent, could you please post the TEAC America technical message to this thread. I and others would love to read Tim Crable's explanation. G.
Esoteric: firewire vs. aes-ebu connection
Have you done any experiments yourself already? One of the interesting issues of course, is that different brands and ICs models seem to make quite a difference on Esoteric gear. This means that unless you use identical models of wires for aes-ebu...
What Integrated Amps have the sonics of Separates?
I suspect that a number of integrated amps have the sonic of separates, or may even be 'better' than the corresponding separates. This is because sometimes integrated are designed by. . . integrating existing separate components into a single box....
Rowland Consonance Preamp Standby Mode
The consonance manual makes no mention of a standby funcion. Mute and unmute seem to be available both from remote and front panel. The manual for consonance can be downloaded from:http://jeffrowland.com/Docs/ConsonanceManual.pdf
New Rowland Criterion 2-chassis battery pre
Hi David, what I meant is that as far as I know the Criterion can now be controlled via the remote transmitter. I suspect this may also mean that the receiver is also operational. Jeff Rowland is probably in Munich today, so I can't seek any confi...
I'm beginning to wonder...
I am not sure what percentage of Audiogoners may be native English speakers. I for one was born and raised over the Pond. The Queen's language is not my first language, not by any stretch of the imagination. It's my 4th one, hence my occasional la...

New Rowland Criterion 2-chassis battery pre
Hmmm, the thread just passed the 10,000 viewings mark sometimes during last night. I'll try to get some juicy tidbits on Criterion from JRDG to post here early in the week. Guido

Let's hear about Elrods new Silver or Gold cables
Sorry guys, a question just marginally out of topic. . . how many hours are required to break in 100% the JE LA 300 ME? . . . and by that I mean, to reach a point where it no longer opens further, improves, etc. . .? but is musically/sonically sta...
Good Pre Amp W/Remote for Marsh A400s Amp??
Telescope, I have never run the capri single ended. . . I am sure it will be fine. However, it is worth pointing out that Capri is a truly balanced design. In SE mode it may sound a little thinner and perhaps with less authority than in balanced m...
