Desk top speakers at low cost
I have this https://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/cambridge-soundworks-mick-fleetwood-model-twelve-monitor-system one selling on reverb for $225 Henry Kloss' happiest days. Not that he had any bad ones.
Best light weight full range speaker recommendation.
re  Gershman Grand Avant Garde I seriously could not come up with anything to make that speaker uglier, aesthetically speaking
Replacement for current speakers suggestions
I was looking for a very similar solution: warm sound, rich imaging, pure fun, under 2K, ended up with Dynauiod Evoke 20s. After demoing 10+ speakers in this price range, it blew away all brands. for $1600, open box from https://www.safeandsou...
Looking for thoughts on Sonus Faber speakers
I think the pairing is very key, I tried the Sonetto at home and didn't work well with my amp
Magico A5 or Sonus faber SERAFINO TRADITION or Harbeth 40.3 XD

Magico A5 or Sonus faber SERAFINO TRADITION or Harbeth 40.3 XD
Based on what I read here, Magico wins in the looks+pairing+sound+value total points.  I think the SF is a piece of art as furniture and it would cost more because you'd have to upgrade your current furniture to match it.
Magico A5 or Sonus faber SERAFINO TRADITION or Harbeth 40.3 XD
based on the their looks: SF > 10 Magico > 6 Harbeth > 2 I'd never know how they sound, my budget is a 10th of their list price
One big reason why brick and mortar high end audio dealers struggle.
the bottom line is: many brands won't survive without retail stores and retail stores won't survive without the help of those brands. Mainly the small ones that spend their balance on the quality of the equipment and research with nothing left for...

@millercarbonI will put into context for you, not that I think it will matter - I never understand your "logic"."no amount of reading" for the not crazy wealthy, crazy nerdy, crazy expert level audiophile. Have you tried to learn to swim from a bo...
One big reason why brick and mortar high end audio dealers struggle.
no amount of reading will  substitute for a decent knowledgeable, enthusiastic salesman. I would be devastated if they went out of business and I find the original post very arrogant for generalizing based on ONE store. I had enough horrible onlin...
New ZU Omen DEF Supreme
Are dealers carrying them or they are just direct sale? I WANT TO HEAR THEM, the hype completely is getting to me!
Are Bowers and Wilkins speakers overpriced?
@unsound it's not a boutique brand for sure and you might be right, the wide variety puts them on a lot of shelves.
Are Bowers and Wilkins speakers overpriced?
@unsound labor costs in the UK are actually cheap. Especially for skilled labor that speakers require, they are way below US costs.I do feel B&W speakers are expensive. There are several reasons, and I emphasize "feel"Their model line up and p...
