I love my Ref 3A de Capos 92db run them with 4 watt Decware amp plenty of sound not Ted Nugent loud but goodNo "crossover" but have "just a single capacitor used as a high pass filter for the tweeter"
Best used TT for under $1k?
VPI HW-19 look hard and you might score a mk IV for under 1K
MHDT Labs Orchid DAC review
I bought a Stockholm v2 and it changed my listening experience.
Audiolab 6000cdt or Simaudio Moon 260DT (transport only)
I'm using an Emotiva ERC-4, solid build with my MHDT Stockholm v2. no issues
Best DAC / Budget
Look at the MHDT DACs very musical
Anyone Have Experience With Decware Se840UFO As Well As Tube Rolling It
I bought my Decware mini torii used but it is worth the wait.  I have a 9 month wait for my Grommes PHI-26 and it was definitly worth the wait
Are "vintage" DAC's worthwhile, or is this a tech that does not age well
well the DAC in my Emotiva CDP doesn't sound as good as my MHDT DAC
Do I need a new DAC/streamer. Considering?
Look for a used MHDT DAC, may take awhile but damn they sound musical.AtlantisIstanbulStockholmOrchard
New-ish to Audiogon Forums... Is it always like this?
@daveman2  Yes joking but that's a decent name for an amp  lol
Need HELP with my CD player
Use the Arcam as a transport, get a nice DAC like a MHDT
how can low watt tube amps drive speakers with higher power requirements
4 Watts drives my 92db Ref 3A de Capos just fine.  Not concert level but loud enough in a 12 x 20 room with openings on the side

Alta Moro Amp  you'll like it
Universal disc players as CD players.
I use an Oppo DV-981HD in a second system at my cabin. It was ok then I realized i had a MyDac sitting around and added that and wow big improvement with just low end DAC. The Oppo is slow and alone it is not that great.
Horn speakers , high efficiency but not “shouty”
I needed some hi eff. speakers for my 6 watt Grommes amp.  Found some Klipsch Quartets with crites XO and Ti tweeters.  Not shouty, does sound more like live music than my other setup (4 watt with de Capos).  We listen for hours, no issue with fat...
