How Hot is Too Hot - Diablo 300 - Hell Hath Some Fury…!
Yes that is normal and fine. Same thing happened with my Clayton Audio class A amp. Could not keep my hand on her for more than a few seconds.

I have only purchased through John Hannant and find he is very responsive.

MC if you’re not a Townshend dealer, then I apologize. I understood you are now? I guess I am confused by your posts. Sorry.

I like the QSA Blue more than the SR Orange. Less forced sounding, smoother, better mids and more at ease. This is in my tube hybrid integrated amp. I will stick with the Blue. Love it! Three of them in my Int amp.May be gear synergy dependent.

MC, I also wish you all the best on this endeavor. I continue to buy new products from Townshend.  Love them. You would be wise to consider the advice and wisdom of reasoned posters here and humble yourself. When ALL posts, without exception, sugg...

Ok then MC. I better understand your perspective on this. Yes, your evaluations are accurate, no doubt. Seems pretty reasonable to let folks know, when you actually knew, that you are entering a financial relationship with Townshend. What can poss...

Yes indeed. Agreed. The Cutf .01uf and Odam do make magic together in electronics such as your Pre. I use the combo all the time in Orchid dac upgrades.
A MEMBER IN NEED OF SUPPORT

My post spelled that out if you go back and look at it. Bypassing does not always work well.  Trial and error at best. Some combos don’t sound quite right. I know Odam and Cutf work well in electronics.  I don’t like bypassing in crossovers as oft...

I agree with Tvad’s comments. Also, we really don’t know when MC started down the road of being a dealer. Being enthusiastic about a product and later working for that same company is really not an issue. It makes sense actually. Being passionate ...

I would not use a bypass cap in a crossover. Don’t think they sound right in this application. Makes the sound sort of nervous. One great cap is better. Bypass caps are great in power supplies and SOMETIMES in coupling and output positions. It dep...
Electrolytic capacitor replacement
No need. If you solder the leads properly from under the board, then you can tension the leads strong enough so the cap rests securely on top of the precisely cut Soundcoat pads. This is all you need. If you don’t want to do that, then hot glue al...
What Integrated Amp do You use
Here is an interesting integrated that comes from Poland.  The Circle Labs A200. I own it and just love it. Very interesting circuit design in this tube hybrid design. It is a tone monster!
Electrolytic capacitor replacement
Careful drilling holes if the board is double sided etc…! Also, sometimes a ground plane is located close to the solder pads. You could cause a short.  Soundcoat is sold at Parts Connextion and Sonic Craft I think. Sonic Craft used to sell it. I u...
