Review: Tube Research Labs Samson monoblock amps Amplifier I owned the Atmasphere MA1's and they just did not have enough power and would clip at 85 - 87 db in the highs. Nice sounding until that point but too limited in volume on this speaker for my room.
Rate my rig Awesome amp ! I rate your system highly!
Rate my rig Ok one more post. I would love to see pics of your Dali speakers loaded into your virtual system. I owned my set of Grande speakers for about 5 years and loved them.Perhaps you should upgrade and sell them to me :-)
Rate my rig Your amp is very good for the money, but the Dali likes power and good power. I sold my Grand speakers years ago I wish I still had them. So darn musical and warm sounding. They fill a room with great music!
Rate my rig Your Dali Grand speakers hold a special place in my heart. They are awesome speakers. Perhaps the most beautiful speaker I have owned or seen. The woodwork is first class. The speakers deserve a better amp. I can help you with a great amp match sho...
Review: Tube Research Labs Samson monoblock amps Amplifier Forgot to mention most SS amps only put out a very small fraction of their rated power into impedances as high as 50 ohms.
Review: Tube Research Labs Samson monoblock amps Amplifier The Samson amps always sounded better on any box speaker I tried compared to other SS amps. The problem was only with the Soundlab's. I would not even call it a problem. They sounded quite good. I went to a 600 watt per channel amp that was load i...
Review: Tube Research Labs Samson monoblock amps Amplifier Kot, I owned Soundlab speakers and simply needed more power to drive them as I wanted. That is the only reason I sold them. I miss them and bet they would sound great on my Nola speakers. Right now I am very happy with the Atlas however. I still c...
TRL Dude or Joule 150 MKII for Major Pre Upgrade Atmasphere, I have not tried to run the Jensen with rca's as yet. I am so thrilled with the sound right now. Seems my amp really sounds best through the xlr inputs. All I know is my system has never sounded better plus is now very quiet.
TRL Dude Dilemna No, it is an impedance mismatch having nothing to do with single vs balanced connections. If the Burson is really transparent, then it may be a great solution. I guess I doubt the Burson is not changing the sound? I do know for sure as I have not ...
Dont laugh No problem Al. I should have been more clear. I love that Jensen input transformer. My system sounds the best it has ever sounded. I think my amp sounds better through the balanced inputs. Not a subtle, but pretty big improvement.
Dont laugh Almarg, one other thing about the xlr cable shootout. These cables are going from my newly acquired Jensen input transformer into my Aesthetex Atlas amp. All were about the same length of at or just under 3 feet long. All three were very good soun...
Dont laugh Guys I have been around and at this hobby long enough to know better. Yes they were all xlr cables. I have a bit more knowledge then some think :-)I also know good sound and systems. My comments about the $40 cable besting a well regarded $1100 c...
Dont laugh Al, all three are xlr cables. These are being used from the Jenson input transformer into my Aesthetex Atlas amp.
Dont laugh Ya, I have had extending listening with all three cables. I would keep one in For several days and then another, plus I would a/b on certain songs etc...This has been a revelation to say the least. |
