Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. Correct, there is no advantage to doing a D/A conversion outside the Lyngdorf. We 2170 owners sold our expensive and well regarded dacs. Again, the synergy, simplicity, sound quality and short signal paths of the 2170 have eliminated the need for ...
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. I use Roon’s DSP EQ to great effect. Love Roon with Tidal and the 2170.
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. Great point on the volume control! This is often a place of sonic degradation in many preamps!
New Tweak --- Its Fantastic @rotaryphone. Yes it was a lot of work. I didn’t even mention other places for fear folks would think I am truly nuts! The results are well worth it however. I am an avid DIYer so it was all really quite routine for me. Must be very careful not to...
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. Lots of happy folks here 😁
New Tweak --- Its Fantastic Paste the entire tab connections of your individual drivers where the internal speaker wire is soldered to the driver positive and negative terminals. Paste all point to point crossover runs and connections possible. Paste the wire leads feeding y...
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. I should also mention the wonderful feel, sound, and fine tuning of the volume control. The 2170s volume dial adjusts by 1/10 dB increments. High efficiency systems can dial in the volume perfectly, unlike those sometimes frustrating stepped att...
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. I have used the 2170 on several different speakers in two different rooms. Harbeth 40.1, AZ Crescendo, Tekton DI, and now the Living Voice OBX RW. Room Perfect was a breeze to use and each time greatly improving the resulting sound. I did not expe...
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. Yes the 2170 changed my life. I listen to music in my home 12 hours a day. No TV. It never gets too warm, consumes only 20-25 watts of power, is lightweight and attractive, and is not a fussy piece of gear to own. I keep mine on 24/7 for best soun...
Carbon fibre sleeve over existing cabling, incredible ERS does indeed work well if used in the right application. I also had bad experiences with it in my gear, but great results used carefully.
Carbon fibre sleeve over existing cabling, incredible I built a great sounding USB cable and used this stuff with and without ERS tape to compare. I used it over the data wires only. Nice results. I covered the stuff as I would never want a conductive outer wrap on a finished audio cable.
Carbon fibre sleeve over existing cabling, incredible So you cannot think of instances where all this conductive touching could lead to an issue? A touches B which when moved ended up touching C and causing an issue? I will cover mine. I also noticed this stuff can shed a tad. Conductive shedding cou...
Carbon fibre sleeve over existing cabling, incredible I know all this folks. I am saying no way I would put this stuff uncovered behind my audio rack touching other treated cords and gear etc. Cover it up folks. I raise my hand on not covering it up with a nice woven non-conductive sleeve. I will cov...
Carbon fibre sleeve over existing cabling, incredible This stuff is conductive. I assume you guys cover this stuff up with a layer of non conductive sleeving. I can’t image leaving it exposed on the exterior of the cables you treat.....
Having a problem when HVAC system turns on and cuts my system off! Well it started up again at 6pm. I will remove the IFi next to see if it stops. |
