Jupiter Copper Foil, Paper & Wax Cap Versus Jensen Cap 0.10uF 630Vdc Copper Foil Ceramic
I used the Vcaps copper ones and very pricy.  Very long run in period.  They were simply too thin sounding to me, but very resolving for sure. I also like the HT Jupiter capacitor in beeswax. Nice tone and very organic sounding. Not as much air an...
Jupiter Copper Foil, Paper & Wax Cap Versus Jensen Cap 0.10uF 630Vdc Copper Foil Ceramic
@bigkidz I used the Jupiter caps in varied positions in all kinds of gear (crossovers to amps) so my comments are based on use beyond one or two products. I must have upgraded and modified at least 30 DIFFERENT audio pieces with this cap...perhaps...
Jupiter Copper Foil, Paper & Wax Cap Versus Jensen Cap 0.10uF 630Vdc Copper Foil Ceramic
LErik is so right. Try them. For me and others they are just too forced and tilted up in the presence area. My ears could not relax with them. Others love them. If you like tilted up upper mids and highs and the perception of uber detail, then you...
Jupiter Copper Foil, Paper & Wax Cap Versus Jensen Cap 0.10uF 630Vdc Copper Foil Ceramic
I have never had an issue with Jupiter copper foils leaking or breaking down in any way over the years.  I have with Duelund and Jensen however.  Jupiter is richer sounding than Vcaps with better meat on the bones weight and body. Vcaps are more r...
Jupiter Copper Foil, Paper & Wax Cap Versus Jensen Cap 0.10uF 630Vdc Copper Foil Ceramic
Jupiter is the far better choice ...... if you want more inner detail, richness and spot-on tone.  The Jensen cap is very good, but not as neural top to bottom with an obvious darkening and thickening of the sound
Update on Paul Laudati of Clear Day Cable
Paul was the best. Kind and full of integrity. An absolute gem in this industry.
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400.
I find my 2170 loves a balanced power isolation transformer based conditioner in front of it.
Really bad sounding power cables ?
Never said I don’t like shielded power cables. At least that is not what I universally currently believe. I said that one specific power cable made with Duelund 12ga 600v Polycast wire sounds better unshielded. I tested several times after proper ...
Perfect Path Tecnologies ‘The Gate’
Correct, talk to Tim as your concerns are leading you towards extreme statements of no real value here. Erik, you have gone from claiming snake oil to crying “fire...fire” in a crowded forum. Your desire to know more is both understandable and rea...
Perfect Path Tecnologies ‘The Gate’
I know. Part of us all feel this way, but you have 90 days to determine if it is snake oil. No risk, no games, no snake oil with this fact. Also the builder has integrity as a person and professional. You will indeed be refunded if you don’t love ...
Ribbon midrange pros and cons
Correct, Raal tweeters are fantastic and the sound coming out is also dependant on the overall speaker design. Just cannot say all ribbons sound bad as a blanket statement. Just not true. Robert of Acoustic Zen incorporates a ribbon in his Crescen...
Pulsars and the Mythical Armchair Speaker Maker
DIY is absolutely one very real means to great sound at astounding savings. Been there, doing that and so loving it!It does take some skill and experience to get to the point of making gear as good or better than big dollar brands.  That experienc...
Perfect Path Tecnologies ‘The Gate’
I assume the Gate would have the same or greater impact on your rig at the breaker vs hardwired to your stereo room outlet/outlets. Right? Plus the rest of your home electronics benifit! Charge your iPad in 5 minutes!
How good is your system
Yes indeed playing at a moderate 75db weighted average.

Sure , you can take a poll, but how will this help you specifically? If streaming Tidal is most important to you, then get gear known for and built to assure streaming sounds best. If you will do more ripping and listening from stored cd files, th...
