I test and make cables daily. It is what I do. Yes, I test all manner of gauge, dialectic, twist, materials etc.., No, not just once or one combo. It may be possible to find an outlier to my comment and in audio one must always leave the door of p...

Without fanboy comments how do we learn about great new products here on the Gon? Early adopters are a must and reading about actual experiences is what this site is really for. As more folks try and like a given product I would expect the fanboy ...

Correct, larger gauge won’t get you what you are looking for. I tried a standard 12 gauge set vs the DS method with 16ga and the DS method with 16 gauge was certainly better in every way.

Correct, I added the Audio Magic tweak and then removed it.  I have the 2170,  not the 3400.  I think the 2170 is all most would need and perhaps sounds a tad more organic and musical.

Sometimes yes and sometimes no depending on how the wire was produced. You must listen and test for audible changes.  So your ears determine as always. I hope I pass and not flunk out.

The twist on the Duelund is about every 2 inches and falls naturally.  Just a natural comfortable twist should give you this. Do this....- be sure to twist the ground in the opposite direction of the twisted live and neural pair. The ground will e...
Speaker Width?
I lot of folks say that a table in front of your listening position is a big no-no. Having been at this audio stuff for awhile, I would certainly tend to agree, in theory. I also have my rig in a shared living space and need to consider my wife’s ...

I have tried power cords and prefer single runs in my builds.  Playing with speaker cables right now.
