Subwoofer hitting floor...solution? Might consider turning down the gain into the sub just a little. May lead to a more accurate presentation of movies and music while not harming the subwoofer speaker. Alas, the hockey pucks sound like a great idea while you save for a new sub.
Significant difference?? Just my half cent as I have not any experience with any Denon gear. But my recently acquired Marantz PM8004 integrated amp would have me leaning towards the Marantz anything. Sound combined with a 3 year warranty deserves a very look.If possible r...
New but old fashioned looking speakers… Speakers from Quest for Sound, their SQ series speakers. And like Klipsch speakers should be very efficient. Plus would be tube friendly as well. Good hunting.

McIntosh MA-6900 Integrated Amp - Your Thoughts? Came back for a visit My take on speaker cable is twelve gage makes a sonic difference over thinner gage. Mcintosh integrated Vs amp Should you decide to save up some more, you won't be sorry. Part of the fun of having a system is having what you actually want and not just what you could settle for. Good hunting.
Mcintosh integrated Vs amp The McIntosh and the Cary are dream machines to say the least. I have a McIntosh MA 6600 integrated and have always wanted a Cary SLI-80. Happen to have the Technics SL 1600.But if funds are indeed an issue, start out well but less expensive. The ...
The Best Compliment You've Gotten On Your Rig? Many years ago my sister commented on the improvement brought about by using Monster speaker cable. Decades later my wife shouted after hearing the price of my dream component. I now endeavor to bring gear in only when she is not home. Most if the...
Personal amp evolution My first love some thirty years ago, a Pioneer SX-525 receiver, held in my lap all the ninety mile way home. A Yamaha CR 1040 receiver. NAD then Carver Cube with the later addition of Carver TFM 15 amp. Acurus, my first "high end" the ACT Five. Wh... |
