I run a classe dac1 to a classe cp-50 to a classe 101. I love going balanced the whole way through(BONUS). I think it sounds great personally.

Can the transport be shipped to the factory to have an rca port added? maybe a good stereo repair shop could help you out?

I spent $500.00 on power cables. Having a hard time justifing that one. But your probably right, if I pulled them out and went stock. I would here the difference. That is the only upgrade I can think of that did not seam worth it.

I run an AES/EBU into my pre-amp. Then I use an rca digital out to my burner. Most cd players will have an rca out along with the aes/ebu out. Both my transports do. Hope this helps. I have also used an optical loop from the pre to the burner with...
