Review: Lucinda Williams "Essence" It's starting to grow on me but I don't think I could go an inch further in that direction. One twang'd note and I'm standing in line at the return counter. This has been her saving grace so far. (no voice twanging) I think the twang I heard was j...

the best of five channel amp.... I'm waiting on a Theta Dreadnaught myself. Lots of clean power. 200wx5 into 8ohms. Balanced on all 5 channels. Retail $6000.00. The last three I've seen here went around $4000.00 used. Still a little rich for my blood.
Recommended recording Thanks Sd, I collect a lot of your recommendations. Joe Pass,Knopler/Atkins and Miles Davis just to name a few so please keep them coming:~)

Can someone explain db sensitivity? After reading this thread I'd say the answer is no. Know one can explain db sensitivity. At least not in a language that I can understand. I still want to contribute so here's my take. Find a pre-amp that has a volume control that goes to 11. This...
digital cable\coax cable-what's the diff Good job AVGUY I would just like to fine tune it a little more. If your TV and DVD player have *COMPONENT VIDEO* Capability. (Inputs on the TV) (Outputs on the DVD player). Use them for the highest quality video connection. This will require a Tri...
HomeGrown SSII vs. MIT Term2??? You may want to think one notch higher if you go with the MIT's. I have owned a lot of MIT cable and quite a few pair's of thiel speakers. I once used a terminator 3 with a pair of 1.5's. I up graded to 750 shotguns and noticed a remarkable differ...
Speaker Posts I have had the same problem. I've been thinking of using a spade to banana adaptor. However I sure hate having to pass the signal through it. For now I'm bending the spades but I have headed for the tool box to get my cutters more than once. Just ...
Short Out Plugs One quick continuity test and mission accomplished. Thanks everyone for the good advise on this thread. I built 12 short out plugs for under $12.00. I think I'll do my other pre-amp just for the Halibut. You know I even think I noticed a differenc...
Short Out Plugs Since you asked here is a quote from my Theta Casa Nova manual. " The Casa Nova can be susceptible to excessive RF. Shorting plugs in all unused inputs will improve the sound quality and may reduce the susceptibility to RF induced anomalies". |
