Static noise help please
Spencer - Wasn't trying to generalize about all Gungnirs - but can see how what I wrote could be understood that way.  Had I written "The Gungnir in MY system does not have a USB input.", things would definitely have been clearer.   Good clarifica...
Static noise help please
Hello again Eddy.  I use a Macbook Air into a Gungnir via USB but it isn't connected directly.  In between there is a V-Link USB/SPDIF converter.  The Gungnir does not have a USB input.  No noise.  Things are very quiet.  You might try calling or ...
Whats playing on your system today?
Yup - Glenn Huges has quite a discography.  He's been in the biz since 1969 apparently...so that's nearly 50 years.  I never followed DP closely.  Only spent time with their In Rock and Machine Head - missed GH's involvement with them. tune-man, I...

Just finished Music for the Divine, all I can say is "Why was I not told about Glenn Hughes way sooner!"
Whats playing on your system today?
N - I was totally clueless about Glenn Hughes.  Had to look him up on Wikipedia and found a LOT of his stuff on the Spot (that's Spotify for all those Tidal-loving haters...hahaha)...anyway - WOW!  The dude has certainly got some pipes!  Volume, r...
Static noise help please
Eddy - haven't experienced what I consider "static" from tubes but definitely a few random pops soon after start up that eventually turned into tube failure... an EL34 power tube.  Static to me is a more prolonged sound, sort of a rapid, lower vol...
Speaker Cable trial
Stringreen - You are very welcome.  Give Paul a call.  He'll pick up and is generous with his time.  Always nice to chat with another enthusiast.  Get a pair to trial.  Only way for you to know for sure.  Good luck.
Now Keith Emerson is gone...
jsd - 2016 is certainly off to a start as a terrible year for losses among popular musicians...not that 2015 was so good.  Anyway, while I can't say I've played ELP's first the most of anything in my collection, I can say I do like it a lot and wi...

Yeesh, Stringreen, no offense, but I'm a bit surprised at your inquiry given all the server space taken up with wire discussions and the fact that Clear Day gets mentioned regularly.  On the other hand, you're a veteran around these parts so I ass...

Love Rory too....more than Robin, actually (no offense radfrad). Check out Irish Tour ’74, Nutty. It used to be uploaded to YouTube. If not, it is certainly worth getting although it’s not hi-res or anything but still a great concert movie. Really...

Glad y'all are liking Robin's stuff with Jack.  You might also like RT's work on Procol Harum's Broken Barricades LP.  (but you probably already know that one).  I'll have to look for his latest release.  Thanks for the heads up, radfrad.

Does anyone know about putting marker on CDs?
The Auric Illuminator kit supplies a black marker for application to the rim and central area (both sides) of a CD.
Closed back headphone recommendation
HD600 is an open back design.  Leakage is a problem for the OP.
