What speaker could safely be ordered without hearing it first?
Congradulations. Great choice. They look great as well.  Love the dog, with better hearing… if it was harsh sounding he/she would not be there.
Are your listening levels healthy? Doing damage?
Cleaning ears comes up on other posts. Many of use clean them periodically. There are also warm water ear cleaning devices that attach to the faucet. My doctor has one and you can buy them on line.   I have a couple SPL devices… but just use my ...
Aurender integrated streamer/DACs
@soix & @lalitk    Good discussion. I think we are all saying about the same thing.in general, separates are better. It is likely the OP could benefit from a sea parade… but I don’t think any of us could categorically be sure.   OP, defini...
I used to think pricey interconnects were snake oil...
@bolong  Your uninformed, unsubstantiated opinions are of no value to those of that know better and to those that come here to learn. Please try to refrain.
Aurender integrated streamer/DACs
@gsomin   I am sure no one said the Aurender DAC is bad. I’ve not heard that. But I have also not heard tremendous praise for it. So, I am sure it is a good DAC. Most of us that are dedicated to high end sound buy separates… Streamer and DAC. T...
Audio / Stereo Rack
@onhwy61 “…Wouldn't they be better placed right next to your loudspeakers?…”   +1  They will sound better next to the speakers with a very short speaker cable. Also, not sure of the rest of your component locations… but for most (although not al...

I'm going to buy my first tube amp. I need honest blunt opinions
I have to agree woth some of the folks that recommend swapping the Benchmark preamp for a good quality tube preamp… I would say first. Then later upgrade to a tubed amp, in both cases I would consider Audio Research, CJ, and VAC for both. You will...

Are your listening levels healthy? Doing damage?
I typically listen at 65 to 70db with peaks to 75db.    The caution is that over 85db for eight or more hours can cause hearing damage, 88db for 4 hours, 91 db for 2 hours. 70 db or under is OK for as long as you want.    So, unless you are into...
Aurender integrated streamer/DACs
@gsomin   First, is it new? Broken in? It will need at least a couple hundred hours on it before it will perform correctly… 300 or 400 is better. Tell us more about the rest of your system. There is a place for photos and to ID your system. Th...
I used to think pricey interconnects were snake oil...
@asctim ”…My experience has been that I can get various very inexpensive interconnects that all sound indistinguishable.”   Yeah… of course, very inexpensive interconnects don’t make a difference or make a negative difference. No effort has been...
Is usb reclocking necessary?
OP,   Thanks for the follow up. Good to know.
Reducing noise in an Ethernet over power configuration
I would recommend a wall wart wifi extender. Ethernet over power is not a good solution.    I use this solution and a know of a number of outstanding high end systems (>$150K) using it. High quality streamers take care of any shortcomings.
