Buy a DAC or buy an SACD player? DAC! MSB link dac 3 w/HDCD option. SACD may sound fantastic but most of their players do not do CD's well.
Which is better, live performance or on your system? Reproduced music will never sound like life music. Reproduced music simply cannot produce the SCALE of life music.
Levinson Amps: What do they really sound like? They sound like "nothing". Nothing added and nothing taken away. Alot of people do not like them because it doesn't add warmth and bass bloom. If that's what you're looking for, then it's definitely the WRONG system for you.If you're interested in...
Krell , Martin Logans Mark Levinson? Lev335, you better change your ID to Krell300...just a bad joke. Krell1 is right on the money. If you're happy, keep it that way. I too have made mistakes in the past and very hard to correct. You gotta change this, then change that and that...and...
What are the affects of setting tracking too hi or low? If you're just talking tonal balance, lower force will shift balance to the bass heavy side. Higher force will tend to sound brighter.Experiment with your setup until desired balance is achived.
Black Diamond Cones for speakers? Yes they work well under speakers too. Crush weight on each cone is 10000lbs. They look blunt on the tip but if you have a heavy speaker and you drag the cones under it, it will still leave marks on the floor.
Siltech vs Audio Note I have the SPx speaker cables and are really pleased by their performance. They are extremely musical and liquid that none other cable comes close in these aspects IMO.I do not know much about the UK made SPe but the Japanese (Kondo) cables will e...
BW Nautilus 802, blow away Nautilus 803 Doug99, I accept your opinion but have to strongly DISAGREE with your funny theory generalising speaker and crossover designs designs.I'm sure engineers at B&W know what's best for their speakers.Cheers!
Gershman Acoustic Avant Gard I agree totally with Royy. Overpriced andhighly colored. If you want lots of boomy bass, then these are for you.
AES/EBU S/PDIF Metsphysics, please read my first posting. I know it cannot be done but if Blackie insist trying it, the best way is to get the adapter.
AES/EBU S/PDIF The best way is to test yourself to see if it works. Get an XLR to RCA adapter.
AES/EBU S/PDIF According to my ML manual, AES/EBU 110ohm has an output of 3.5 volts. How are you sure that AES is 5 volts???I am open to suggestions......Just trying to help.
AES/EBU S/PDIF NO! AES/EBU is 110ohms and SPDIF RCA is 75 ohms. The AES/EBU output is 3.5v and RCA is 0.5v.....HOW CAN THAT BE POSSIBLE??????
Want to use RCA connections w/ML amp. Use a short cable and put into the 2 recommended holes of the XLR connector. I think it is #2 and #3 hole.
Digital Rules Try listening to any good analog source and you'll know digital is so, so. Analog always sounds more ORGANIC/REAL. |
