Which should cover the distance...XLRs or speaker cables?
I run long balanced interconnects to my monoblocks and short speaker cables. If your equipment supports the 'Balanced Standard- AES 47'. This is the way to go as speaker cable characteristics are minimized.Bob
Inflated prices in audio
@oregonpapa ,Unfortunately, we left the Gold Standard years ago.In fact, a $20 Saint Gaudens gold coin would buy quite a bit more.Bob
Inflated prices in audio
Well, if a slice of NY pizza can go from 50 cents in the '80's to $3.00 today, I would say the dollar has taken a hit.B
Speaker Cable Recommendations
Though much depends upon what speakers you are using, I have a bias towards Audioquest.B
Streaming + DAC questions. Please help this noob!
@OP,Start listening and get a feel for the onboard DAC. When the Codex comes in, I promise you will hear a significant difference.Though, keep in mind that you should let things run-in for a few days to allow them to settle in. You'd be surprised a...
Should Subwoofer Be Plugged Into Same Circuit?
I do wonder if AFCI/GFCI outlets hurt an AV system. I was wondering about that, too.bob

I won't claim to be an expert, but I would say that if you can find the display of impedance and phase across the audio spectrum of any given speaker, you should be able to determine whether or not an amp will be able power it. Though, you need to...

Can two subwoofers reduce a bass problem?
@OP, Yes, using 2 or more subs help with room nodes.I would PM Duke (audiokinesis), he manufactures the Swarm system.Though I know you probably don't want to invest in that, I think Duke will be able to steer you in the right direction with regard...
Ethernet Bridge For Streaming
I used a Netgear product to move my Bluesound Node to a wireless 5ghz band. I forget what model it is..It works like a charm. No drop outs.bob

Dead Bluesound Node 2
@OP, I own 2 Nodes that I bought 2nd hand on Ebay. Both are working properly, to this day.Thankfully😌.Bluesound customer service has a bit to be desired, but being persistant helps. I know. I had an issue with software that took months to resolve.B...
