Snake River Audio Power Cables - Best Unboxing
@kdoerner  So a Cottonmouth source on the DAC may be a good place to start? I currently has a Wireworld Silver electra 7 there.
Snake River Audio Power Cables - Best Unboxing
@kdoerner I am curious about the SRA Power cords. I was think of either one on my new DAC or one on my AMP. It appears that they would be two different PCs by design. Amp is higher current. I wouldn’t mind adding just a bit of warmth to the syste...
EverSolo DMP-A8 with Denafrips Pontus 15th, both have i2S
Provided the DDC has a better clock than the DAC you should hear a bigger soundstage and better defined bass, not huge but it’s there. But I would just wait and see how your i2S interface works for you first.n By all means get a good I2s cable, I ...
JAYS Audio transport upgrade?
Get the CD3 Mk 3 and be done with it
PS Audio BHK signature preamp
I can vouch for the build quality of CODA amps. I have the Coda s5.5 and it is outstanding, a sonic gem. I have had it about 6 months.
Can someone explain the clock sync?
@brbrock Well I can only go by what I was told by the dealer I bought my T15th from and at this time there are no plans for a Flagship DAC, maybe in a few years. So the Terminator15th IS the flagship. It certainly sounds like it to my ears. I und...
Can someone explain the clock sync?
@kairosman  I missed your question about the Terminator 15th being a rebadged Terminator Plus. It seems to be the case from all that I can gather-it is the same other than the faceplate. It is also my understanding that the 15th engineer team did ...
The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"!
@yyzsantabarbara The Legacy Wavelet II is a pre amp so adding a tube preamp would be redundant. My DAC doesn’t have a volume control. The only source into the Wavelet is the XLR's from the DAC.
DAC shopping - Trying to sift through the Hype. Can I trust the reviews these days ??
@vthokie83   Yes, the terminator 15th has 190 hours on it and it is fantastic compared to the Venus II. Like the reviews say -more of everything that is good. It is a fantastic DAC, it's smoother than the Venus, yet far more detailed. Timbre is so...
The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"!
@charliee  No I no longer am getting any preamp. I had conversations with dealers that advised it is not necessary with only 1 connection. I would just be adding more into the chain, need more (expensive) interconnects and power cords. Instead I a...
GoldenEar Titon Reference Speakers
I had the T1r’s for a while. The T ref’s are easy to drive, that MAC will do it easily. The T refs have great bass, soundstage and image very well. With them being on sale right now for I think $4K each they would be a bargain. They are being disc...
Lumin U2 or Aurender N200
FWIW I upgraded from a AQ Diamond USB to the Audience frontRow Reserve USB and it is sensational, but highly expensive. I only needed .75M so that helped. I was going "all in" and end game. N200 as source.
Can someone explain the clock sync?
Thank you @kairosman @audphile1 @erik_squires for your responses.
The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"!
@sim_audio_nerd  I bought a new Denafrips Terminator 15th to replace my 3 year old Denafrips Venus II.
The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"!
@sim_audio_nerd   I have been thinking the same thing. Well, I don't upgrade very often but since I have made other system upgrades this amp lets them shine through. I just got a new DAC and the change is clearly evident. I love this amp! I've had...
