Are audiophile products designed to initially impress then fatigue to make you upgrade?
@bipod72  We have something in common. I raced bikes as a Cat 2-3 for twenty plus years. For racing, I rode bikes that my local bike shop sponsor supplied that I liked but did not love. They were carbon fiber and lighter than my other bikes, but ...
Any Nagra Classic Amp or Classic Preamp owners out there willing to share their feedback
I will say that adding the factory i/0 transformers for true balanced sound made a significant change in soundstage. Sorry for the thread drift but transformers allow for XLR's but do not provide true balanced circuitry.

If I am guilty of trolling (and arguably am), I apologize. While I have not been active on this site for fifteen years like Teajay, I have been on it for a while now and was a regular on the AA Board for many years. I don't believe-until now-that ...

I apologize for miss spelling my Tekton speakers, but nobody perfect you know. I am beginning to feel bad. You managed to misspell the word "misspell", combine bad syntax (should be "misspelling the name of my Tekton speakers") and leave out th...

@johnah5  I looked at the website before posting. All that diatribe about green eco-building tells one nothing about the real construction of the cabinets. And there is nothing-at least that I found-as to where and from whom the drivers are sourc...

Terry London, it is fascinating to me that every audio webzine seems to have its own "house character". I would characterize you and your brethren at Stereotimes as having a tendency to heap hyperbole upon the ordinary. For example, this review; ...

And let's tackle something else while we are at it. I accidentally deleted my A-Gon purchase/sales account and that resulted in my losing my ability to post in Forums. So to remedy that, I created a new account under the same user name other than ...

To the mod(s), may I ask what is going on here? Pmowbray1 asked me a question but I only saw it as a private message and responded. Now I happen to notice that my reply to his PM evidently got posted and then removed. My reply was sincere and I th...
I have perfected my network for the nth time
Since all the wires in the cable are metal, whether copper or silver plated copper or pure silver, they have been drawn through dies creating surface anomalies and therefore exhibit better signal propagation in one direction verses the other. Thi...
Wayne's Audio Canary LOMC Cartridge
I would love for someone like Jonathan Carr, Peter Lederman, or Steve Leung to explain how the cottage industry of cartridge manufacture can be done. I have to believe that the motor assembly is sourced from one manufacturer, the body from another...
Pee Wee Herman has passed away
I always pointed out that he got charged with the wrong thing. He should have been charged with creating a fall hazard. Slippery conditions.
What Are The Differences Between The Vandenhul Cartridge Families
so it’s a train wreck to a degree. yet you are rewarded with special very lively exciting sound, if your system can handle it. the Colibri type vdH’s are a pain, but can be amazing. and they are cheap to get fixed, but the fix is not always corre...
What Are The Differences Between The Vandenhul Cartridge Families
Who knows with Stringreen-he has gotten many things oddly wrong before such as referring to his own cartridge as an Ortofon "Windfield" despite being advised hundreds of times it is "Windfeld". But perhaps he is referring to a rumor that went aro...
