Line Magnetic 219ia vs Mc225
I heard the newer LM integrated a couple of weeks ago. Sorry, I can't recall the model. It sits equal (or close) in price with the 518IA. I also really liked the look in black of this one. I believe it uses the either the 211 or 845 and 300b tube....
Has anyone heard the Grundman pressing of WISH YOU WERE HERE
downunder- You’re in good shape with the UK pressings. I have never seen a UK for Floyd or Led Zepp, but I know they are cherished. I will be back in Montreal soon, so who knows. They have at least a couple of good vinyl shops. Yes- Obscured also ...
Has anyone heard the Grundman pressing of WISH YOU WERE HERE
downunder- Yes- the New ones on Pink Floyd label.... The Bernie Grundman and Joel Plante remasters. I have been following another forum, and have seen some mixed reviews on Meddle, and Wish You Were Here. I would say MORE, and Atom Heart were  bet...

What is a good cartridge match for Shindo Monbrison preamp and pioneer plx 1000?
I just heard the Wax Engine turntable, and thought it sounded very good. I believe it's within your budget.

Thanks so much for the response frazeur1.  My dealer also carries Nagaoka, and mentioned setting up a  Nagaoka w/ Croft for a customer. He did say this was very good. For now I will run my Tsd-15/ A23 SUT/ Amadeus table. This combo may ruin me, be...
Whats on your turntable tonight?
Rushton-Love Morrison Hotel. Buckingham/Nicks, Johnny Cash I/V : When the Man comes Around, Emmylou Harris: Greatest Hits. Latter was a thrift store find for a buck. Sounds great-I love when that happens.

The Croft is on it's way for a home trial.
$2000 turntable system
I just heard the Wax Engine table, with a Soundsmith Aida. Very nice, and I believe around $2700 total. I believe the cartridge was around $1700,so more expensive than the table/arm. So with a $1000 or less cartridge, you would be within budget. Ma...

No doubt the Woodsong/Vintage route could be the answer. Obviously, little or no options for audition, so my guess is most take the leap of faith. I've heard only good things about Chris Harbans work. I'm looking forward to my audition of the next...
Amplifier heat...help!
I never found my LM 211 to give off much heat. I'm sure this is not the case when you get up to their 218/518.  I think Tone Imports may have picked up Sugden. If so, that may be a question to toss their way. With that in mind, the Leben 300 is th...

Sounds like he made a very nice choice. I did hear a 401 in a Slate Plinth, but in a system a whole lot different than mine. I've already gone vintage with speakers....Bought a pair of Altec Valencia 846A's last year. Running a Shindo pre and amp ...

lewm- I'm going to take a stab at that, without referring to Websters to look up tenable. (-:  With regard to the GTA, no offense taken.... In fact, I appreciate your candidness. That is exactly what I'm looking for.  I won't debate your specific ...

The intent of starting this thread is to see what Turntable setup stood the test of time for you. My situation is this. I have a Well Tempered GTA, and quite frankly, I can't imagine letting it go. I know it has shortcomings, and certainly tables ...
