Dr. Feickert Turntable
tablejockey- are you saying it was competent at it’s price point, but perhaps not exceeding like priced competitors. I see quite a few choices in the 3-4K price range. The ones I would consider would be a Polytable/Sorane arm, a Well Tempered Amad...
Steely Dan Catalog on UHQR Vinyl
Yes...right on Steely Dan's own site....Can't Buy a Thrill on 180 gram vinyl for $30...street date November 4th. So is Chad doing these standard 33 RPM's as well. The street date of 11/4 matches the UHQR street date on the QRP video.
Steely Dan Catalog on UHQR Vinyl
I’m a bit confused. I understand these UHQR’s will be 45 RPM. But I believe there will also be standard $30 pressings of each title. I believe Ume is the label that will release these. I saw a link to what I believe to be the Steely Dan site, whic...
MY SONIC LAB Cartridges
I didn’t pay much attention to break in. It sounded good right away. As expected, It didn’t get on well with my high impedance A23 Homage step up. It sounds great with my Dave Slagle/Emia SL (super low) impedance step up. I went with the copper ve...
Analog Upgrade itch
I have a Ref 2, with a 313 VTA. For those who don't know, the 313 is Franc's Gimbaled offering. I am playing it in to a Shindo VR pre/phono. I'm happily running a My Sonic Hyper in to a Dave Slagle copper wound step up. This is my understanding fr...
What are some high impedance cartridges?
EMT series and ANA Mighty versions of EMT TSD series. I believe Charisma carts may be a bit higher than average, but that is going on memory. EMT for sure.
outboard crossover users, how important is the hook up wire from crossover to drivers.
The one channel option is a great idea. However, the A23 stock cable (and most all other twisted strand cables) will not allow me to reach the woofer and horn. So the cable would need some surgery regardless.   Not sure if I’m understanding you ...
Chime in if you bought a second table that cost a fraction of your main table.
Indeed my Kuzma Ref 2 brings a lot of enjoyment, and will not be bettered for the price range I'm shopping in. But that is around $14K retail wth the 313 VTA gimbal, so it wouldn't be a fair fight. My only real experience with DD was an audition o...

A new Technics DD (like the 1200 G) has often run through my head as a cool option. I like the removable headshell, and ease of changing carts that it allows. I have a spare headshell for my Kuzma 313, and it's so nice to have. It's definitely a s...

Some very different situations here, but this does give me idea how you (my fellow enthusiasts) are getting on with your backup table. So no offense to the following brands, but they are not in the running...VPI, Rega,Technics and Pro-Ject tables....

I love my Kuzma as well. Very nice. Well, I ask for this reason. My situation goes like this...My main system is nearly a finished product. I have a Kuzma Ref 2 with a Ref 313 arm. I really have no desire to change the table, and the Shindo/Altec ...
Marantz TT15/ Clearaudio Satisfy for MC carts?
Very cool of you to reach out. I've yet to make the purchase due to finances. I am getting close though.. I am considering AVID, Thorens TD 150, and the Marantz is still in the running. I think the Thorens is the front runner now. The standard mys...
My Sonic Labs cartridges
I have the other gold body MSL, the model below the Gold Sig....the Hyper Eminent. If you go to the Mo-Fi site, I believe they give a sonic analysis (opinion) of the Hyper, Gold, and the 3 silver body models. I've always avoided the real detail ki...
Now using Spin Clean cloths for drying...
Oh ok...so the Vacuum does the best job. I wonder if I'm the only one who owns a Vac Cleaning Machine who cloth dries. I watched a You Tube reviewer do a system tour the other day. I can't recall his name, but apparently he reviews for AUDIOPHILIA...
Now using Spin Clean cloths for drying...
Raul- Do the moving magnets do better at pushing the dust out of the way? (-: Does anyone have any more thoughts on my cloth drying as an alternative to vacuuming?
