| Preamp/interconnects cause amp problems? Sounds like for sure the power amp. The best way to troubleshoot problems like this is with freeze spray. Your tech should be aware of this technique. I have found failing pre-driver or driver transistors were the cause in some amps. | |

| DIY phono interconnect -- need some advice If we're talking phono cables, silver over copper or silver (fragile) all the way. Depends how bright you want it to sound. Connex is a great connector for the money. I personally like gold plated, I've also had silver plated rca's. | |
