| Moving to the UK - Need Transformer +1 jea48 - Run it on 230vac if you CAN, it will sound better. Many of us know that you get more power and less loss when running equipment on higher voltage. If you can't change it to operate on the higher voltage and 50Hz, I would sell and replace. | |

| Drivers survived I'm guessing the tone was about 900Hz., yes I got super lucky. Scared the p**s out of me! I will be ordering upgraded replacement parts, starting with ALL op-amps and capacitors. Haven't decided on the film resistors yet. | |
| How long do good speakers last? My Altec's with cloth surrounds are original from late 60's or early 70's, I prefer treated cloth surrounds to even butyl rubber. For foam surrounds, I use mink oil about once every 2 years to keep them pliable. | |
