What is the best way to clean Vinyl?
I started out with the Pro Jet and found it to be very labor intensive. It did a great job but if I had several records to clean, I was there standing for a long time. I finally got the Klaudio and just slip the record into the machine and come ba...
Want to add vinyl to my system.
VPI junk??? Hardly..!
Favourite Guitarists
I am mostly a classical guitar listener.  Alex Degrassi Will Ackerman Leo Kottke But the craziest guitarist I have ever heard is Joe Satriani playing Surfing with the Aliens...!
What are your top 3 favorite female singers?
Too many but will add Brandi Carlile
End Game Turntable suggestions
@musicmatters1206  I have no idea if VPI has replacement motors for the HW-40 but they probably do. It is the most expensive part of the HW-40 I am told. FWIW I have an arm lifter on mine that works great. It is the Technics one but I cannot remem...
End Game Turntable suggestions
I would also recommend the VPI HW-40. I have had mine for almost a year. It was a game changer for me. I immediately could tell that it was something special. Mine was new but I got a pretty good discount on it at the time. I have the Ortofon Cade...
McIntosh Announces Mc451 Dual Mono Power Amplifier
It's strange why some folks on this forum bash and hate McIntosh. I have owned McIntosh for many years and really enjoy my system. I might not care for some other brands but I do not bash or hate them especially when I have never heard them in use...
VPI turntables
When I bought my VPI it was way up the chain. It is the HW-40 which is direct drive and has the 12" gimbal arm. I have the Ortofon Cadenza Black and cannot be happier with the setup.
Are mcintosh rca and xlr cables any good.
I believe it is Tributaries as well. They are kind of pricey but if you search around you can usually find them used for a reasonable price. I do not own any but they seem well made.
Stereophile Scamming Subscribers?
I renewed my subscription about 4 months ago and for 4 months got two copies of Stereophile. I figured it was not the hassle to call them and complain.
Welcome to Hell, here's your 8-Track
Growing up in the 60's the 8 track was all the rage. I also remember that leaving your tapes in your car for too long in hot Texas melted the the idler wheel in the cartridge and the unit ate your tape...!
So, I listened to a $1Million Dollar System
One would think that a "Big Time Wilson Dealer" would have training from Wilson regarding setup of their product line for demonstration.
Custom rack, isolation under platform vs component?
Very nice looking rack. I built mine from 3/4" black pipe and butcher block and it is very sturdy. Thanks
To all our Veterans here, Thank You!
Thanks Army Reserves 1969-1975
What Gear Has Disappointed You?
For me it was the McIntosh MT2 turntable. I am pretty much a Mc guy and thought this would be a perfect intro back into vinyl. While it is well built by ClearAudio, mine would have varying speed issues and I replaced the belt once but finally sold...
