Keeping Track of Vinyl Playback Time
Thanks, just ordered a Stylus Timer. Wish I could go back and add my current usage. I guess I can just start it and let it run till it has the correct time.
Whats on your turntable tonight?
Lately it's been Eva Cassidy every evening. I have most of her albums.
Do I need 10 gauge power cord if I have 10 gauge from panel?
I should have added that every circuit in my home is 20 amp. It was built that way and not something I did as we bought it from the original owners.

FWIW I built my own power cables using Furutech bulk cable and connectors. You can buy what awg you want as well as shielding. I made mine custom length to each component. I bought cable covering from Amazon and some shrink tubing for the ends. It...
Buying Pet Peeve - Pictures
In the past I would take photos with a digital SLR and flash for whatever I was selling. It would require some post processing to get them right. Now I use my iPhone which takes very detailed photos and no flash needed. It really makes it easy to ...
What is the current retail cost of your reference system?
I am around $80,000 plus about $4,500 for cables. I spent $3,000 for the components to build my rack system and media cabinets myself.
Tube or solid state
I have tube preamp McIntosh C2600 into McIntosh MC611 ss mono blocks. I love the sound.

Audiphile Press: Am I jaded, experienced, or has it declined?
I should have added that since I am throughly pleased with my current system, I am not looking for new gear. The last thing I changed was my turntable about a year ago. At 74, I can probably enjoy what I have for the rest of my like. Without going...
Audiphile Press: Am I jaded, experienced, or has it declined?
As some other have said, I really enjoyed Stereophile back in the day. I drifted away from audio as a hobby for a few years but after retirement, I seriously got back in. Initially I subscribed to The Absolute Sound. It seemed they reviewed mostly...
You know when you are dealing with a BS company....
When I went wit Morrow, I really did delve into the marketing aspects. I read about their construction and I read as many reviews as I could find both good and bad. There were not many bad and many of them had noting to do with the performance. Wh...
You know when you are dealing with a BS company....
I have Morrow speaker and interconnects and have used same for years. I find them to be well made and they perform superb in my system. I recommended them to a friend who just got new B&W speakers and a McIntosh amp. He has always been a cable...
Looking for a McIntosh amp that gives a great example of the “McIntosh Sound”
I guess since I have all McIntosh from the phono pre and cd player to the pre and amps to speakers, I have the McIntosh sound. For the life of me I have no idea what that is though. From my perspective it sounds fabulous.
What is the best way to clean Vinyl?
I started out with the Pro Jet and found it to be very labor intensive. It did a great job but if I had several records to clean, I was there standing for a long time. I finally got the Klaudio and just slip the record into the machine and come ba...
