After years of separates, I'm going integrated. Anyone else do the same?
Just went integrated on my main system, replacing about $10K worth of separates (DeHavilland, Edge, JLTi) with a Luxman 580AXII.  Driving Klipsch Forte IV's, so the 30 Class A WPC was not an issue.  Now just have to get around to selling off the o...
Thermal Distortion your loudspeaker most likely suffers from it. But do you care?
No, I don't care.  And I don't care if you care, either.  Problem solved.
The best way to start adding A=analog to my system
Real helpful when the "experts" here say you've got to spend $15,000 to get started in vinyl.  My suggestion: get the Rega P3 with a Rega cartridge, build up a record collection, THEN think about a TT/cart upgrade.  Unless you are a gear junkie, t...
Just a public call out
Would be more helpful if you actually listed the vendors' names in your post (unless they were censored by the moderator).
Has the cost of HiFi gotten a bit too much?
Blah blah blah blah blah.  (Oh, did the OP actually pose a question?)
Rossini Apex by DCS - Home Audition
The dealers primarily have a stake in your pocketbook, which you are more than willing to accommodate!  (Tongue in cheek; glad you can afford such a system!)
Cassette decks. How good can it get?
Reconditioned Nak 1000 or Dragon.  I owned a 1000 for a number of years; thoroughly enjoyable and fun to use.
Speakers for string Quartets
Klipsch Forte IV.  Hard to beat for the intensity and body of bowed strings, especially once you get to the cello.
Why do I need power management if I have a great power cord?
The problem with this kind of pissing contest is that everybody gets wet and nobody's happy.
Are Harbeth the only warm and euphonic speakers in town ?
It always cracks me up with an OP is asking about bookshelf recommendations and we give him/her suggestions ranging up to the size of a small refrigerator.  Not to mention the guy that has to chime in about how cheap crossover components are in mo...

Does carpet deaden the sound too much?
A lot of dependencies here.  If you want to experiment, get yourself a couple of sheets of 4x8 ABX plywood, and place underneath and in front of your speakers.  Do you like the difference in the sound?  A lot quicker and cheaper than tearing out y...
I heard a costly system from Esoteric.
If headphone listening is that important, I'm surprised you're not using a dedicated HP amp in the first place.  I'm using my Woo from the tape output of my Luxman; the Luxman's HP jack is for convenience only.
Toilet Paper to Vacuum Tubes
"1000 on tubes last week"..."had to be done"?  Hmmm.  I think not.
