Can hi-end cables benefit less expensive electronics? kind of like all that noise out of say a 455 HO V8 compared to a modern twin turbo V6 with electric boost? Just :)
Can hi-end cables benefit less expensive electronics? BTW, in one system, where I have a 20 and 30 foot run from amps on the side to speakers, I have made speaker cables from Furutech FS alpha 36 wire and Furutech Gold Spades. They are excellent. They replaced generic 8 gauge copper wires that I a...
Can hi-end cables benefit less expensive electronics? I think different cable types also interact with different levels of equipment. As @soix said, a good digital cable can help any system or digital front end. Similarly, I have never heard a nicer power cable cause detriment, but always improve o...

Has a Power Conditioner Improved Your Sound? For anyone who thinks the Denali V2 might veil the top end, I can assure you, in my three systems, the effect was exactly the opposite. It made things sparkle. And as to price of power conditioner to price of system, in my experience, the Denali...

I want to buy new speakers for 50,000 and see it used for 30,000, what should I do? PS I bought my nice speakers as demo's, from a dealer who (like GDP says), installed them and stands by them. This may be the best of both worlds. Cigarette smoke smell would be a killer for me.
I want to buy new speakers for 50,000 and see it used for 30,000, what should I do? Buy what you want; you are not insane. New or used is a personal preference. Do you buy a new car or will you buy a 2 year old one with 20,000 miles for this similar discount? Most nice equipment is actually cared for extremely well. Look at t...
New classe delta preamp and classe stereo amp? I owned the Classe CA-2300 for quite a bit and could never hear the fan. I thought it was great, and paired it with my SSP-800 until it broke for the second time. This was when I bought an Audionet Preamp, and performance jumped noticeably pair...
Ethernet Switch Try putting a good audiophile ethernet switch right in front of your streamer. It can make a huge difference in a resolving system. Examples are GTT Audio Dejitterit, JCAT M12 gold or Premium and Network Acoustics Tempus. I have had all of thes...
A Great Retailer Story IMHO I had two very recent experiences with Music Direct, both extremely favorable. I was considering a new Shunyata Denali V2. I kept reading and deciding...then the sale ended (20% off)! Oh No!... I called Music Direct and asked if they would honor...
HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR SYSTEM IN LESS THAN 30 SECONDS Thanks hcow! I do enjoy Salty Dog! So much good stuff I agree with everyone (except maybe the Peter Cetera thing) :) I just keep finding songs I like and adding them to my playlist. I have about a thousand I shuffle through, and often stop an...
Has a Power Conditioner Improved Your Sound? Hello, I have been + / - on power conditioners for years. I now have three systems; two in my home and one in a vacation home, of decreasing cost and resolution. My mountain home has big power outages and storms, and I had a very old Panamax uni...
Is There Some Problem With Shunyata's Everest Power Conditioner Hi, So I did some comparing of the Everest and the Denali V2 on Shunyata's website. I had pretty much thought they were very similar except the Everest has 8 outlets vs 6 for the Denali V2, and of course the style difference as to where you plac...
Is There Some Problem With Shunyata's Everest Power Conditioner …at the Lake house I used the Denali to power my Soulnote A2 integrated amp, Auralic Altair streaming DAC, AND CD player. The amp showed no issues being run through the Denali, only clearer sounding. |
