Has a Power Conditioner Improved Your Sound? Hello, I have been + / - on power conditioners for years. I now have three systems; two in my home and one in a vacation home, of decreasing cost and resolution. My mountain home has big power outages and storms, and I had a very old Panamax uni...
Is There Some Problem With Shunyata's Everest Power Conditioner Hi, So I did some comparing of the Everest and the Denali V2 on Shunyata's website. I had pretty much thought they were very similar except the Everest has 8 outlets vs 6 for the Denali V2, and of course the style difference as to where you plac...
Is There Some Problem With Shunyata's Everest Power Conditioner …at the Lake house I used the Denali to power my Soulnote A2 integrated amp, Auralic Altair streaming DAC, AND CD player. The amp showed no issues being run through the Denali, only clearer sounding.
Is There Some Problem With Shunyata's Everest Power Conditioner Hello @moto_man, about a month ago I ordered a Denali v2 while 20% off from music direct. I got it to take to my weekend home which has much more power outages and thunder storms. Since it was delivered to my main house, I decided to try it out ...
HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR SYSTEM IN LESS THAN 30 SECONDS I agree @ossicle2brain. I have an extensive hard drive with files from standard CD's to DSD. But my streaming is so highly optimized that is not always true that local sounds better than a high rez stream from Qobuz. I love Bela and Cosmic Hip...
HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR SYSTEM IN LESS THAN 30 SECONDS It has been fun hearing everybody's "favorite sounding songs that they like''. Is that fair to say?? My only intention here was that some music (that I like) sounds better than other music (that I like). There have been many great suggestions ...
Diving into balanced +3 on 1 meter. I did the .5m thing and needed to replace them eventually. Some cables, esp power cables, perform better at 1.75 to 2m.
HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR SYSTEM IN LESS THAN 30 SECONDS yes +1 on The Ragpicker's Dream @jimintally also 'The Scaffolder's Wife'!
HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR SYSTEM IN LESS THAN 30 SECONDS So (@roxy54) I do like to keep a short playlist called Demo, where I listen to the 'sound first' on music I enjoy and know well. I think it is very useful when evaluating a new piece of equipment. Here are a few from memory: Anette Askvik 'Lib...

HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR SYSTEM IN LESS THAN 30 SECONDS NO not true. I am music first and listen to what I LIKE. But I like much of Dire and much of Mark. And it sounds great. I LOVE and listen to old Genesis, Yes, Tull Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Dead, Jackie Greene, Cheeze, Buckethead ect. as well a...
Solo streamer When you upgrade it is nice to leave a little 'upside buffer'. The N200 gives him this. If he CHOOSES to upgrade the DAC one day, at least the streamer will be ready. And to many ears, the N200 does sound better than the N150. So leave the man...
Grimm MU1/Mola Mola Tambaqui combo vs. Grimm MU2 A couple of points here. I know Bill and he is usually spot on with respect to how things sound. He states the MU2 is excellent. His point about the MU1 and separate Tambaqui is that if you use excellent power cables and interconnects, the sepa...
ReL Subs: High Level or Low Level connection Hi again @veerossi. I would get them again, it makes me feel better! And due to the long run the larger wire is probably a good idea. I have some extra ones if you are interested pm me!
ReL Subs: High Level or Low Level connection Hi @veerossi i found the Baseline Blue cables to be fine for sub high level connections. I have nice cables everywhere, but do find the sub cables the least impactful. I certainly looked at other options, but I have one long run of 30’ under th... |
