Speaker cables for paradigm studios ghosthouse,Thanks for making the cable switch and sharing your impressions. I was also running the SP-4's on my Legacy Focus but then Morrow had one of their big sales on used cables and I picked up a pair of the SP-5's for a ridiculous price. I a...
Help Me Choose Timber Nation Rack-- All Wood or Threaded Rod? Having just built my own custom rack made of solid maple, I would go for all wood. "ohlala" are you kidding? Hard to take you seriously, maple is one of the best woods for isolation. My rack is solid as can be and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Speaker cables for paradigm studios I have read lot about Clear Day cables here lately. Can anyone compare and contrast them with Morrow Audio cables? TIA
Question for BPT owners.... I appreciate the comments. In response to steakster, it wasn't a household problem I experienced it was a power company issue. Glad to hear no one has had problems.
Yes "Fragile" How great of an album is it? Ahh, a great topic. Yes was probably my first love in the progressive music genre and Fragile played a large part. Particularly "The Fish" and "Heart of the Sunrise". "Roundabout" was good but more of the radio hook for the album. I have always be...
Etiquette for a listening session? I think this goes to the nature of the listening session. If people are gathered around to share conversation then music should be for the background. If on the other hand, the intent is to listen to music then I don't want anyone talking while th...
Thoughts on balanced power Since my last posting I ran across a BPT unit here and couldn't pass it up. At one third the price of the new Furman I figured it would be a good way to try balanced power with less investment. I haven't put it into my system yet but that will hop...

Your single favorite component Ok, this will seem strange. I love my entire system which I researched and purchased mostly here on the 'gon. My favorite piece however is my new equipment rack. I purchased the rough sawn hard Maple from an Amish sawmill and then a friend of mine...
What's going on with the audio market? 5820Until I die.......or until I can no longer hear!At this point I am looking more at a designated listening room than equipment. From there my next upgrade will be speakers and then perhaps an additional amp for bi-amping. I think there are ebbs...
Whats playing on your system today? Autumn leaves (wrong time of the year for this) but it's always good. Go to 20:45 to start. ......and then go back and listen to the rest!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVSV0xu0P8U
Whats playing on your system today? Ok, let's change things up a bit. Since you're referencing youtube videos check out the woman with the four octave voice. This is a classic and the audio quality is great!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OxTVxGhHFMEnjoy...
Solid state amp to replace my Audio Research Ref 150 amp I have a Plinius amp and was concerned about the heat factor as well. I can tell you that I have never had an issue with heat even in class A. I suppose it depends on the load it is driving. Maybe take a look at Jeff Rowland amps. |
