VTL Service ?? Their service used to be great (Luke personally delivered a pair of amps to my house), but they've now limited transferrable warranties to the first re-sale, and that decreases re-saleability. And with their success and higher volumes, it's harder...
good tabletop radio I have a CCRadio. The CC radio is OK, but for 100 bucks less the GE Super Radio III sounds much better, but granted it is analog and AM/FM only. The CC radio has TV and weather bands and clock-radio functions if that is of interest to you, but no ...
A/C Master Coupler Question I used to wedge a Vibrapod or two underneath the IEC end.
Best Budget Interconnect RCA Homegrown Audio silver, you can make them yourself and save $...about $50 a meter.
Anyone tried the MAD interconnects seen on E-BAY? They lacked detail when used with a Sony SCD-777, but your system could be different. Why not take then up on their 30-day policy and try them in your system?-Ed
Anyone tried the MAD interconnects seen on E-BAY? I tried a pair but returned them for refund. It took a couple of reminders to Eric, but he did eventually send a refund.
Audio Museum...what would you want? I kept my Empire 598, but it's in a box in the garage. Even found a replacement belt for it; still works great... But sold off the Empire 999 cartridge (couldn't afford the 1000) long long ago.Have a Fisher tuner kit (KM-60) I built in '68, still ...

best cd/dvd player in silver? A Technics DVD-A10 can be had now for $200-300 (was 1200 new), also plays DVD-A discs. It's brushed aluminum, which is what I think you mean by silver.

What is the cause of my sibilance problem? Sounds like RF interference and/or dirty AC power.Try a PS Audio P300 on front end or at least a Monster HTS-2000 power conditioner. Make sure you're using shielded interconnects and Speaker cables. -Ed
Seeking advice from Maggie owners You'll need a subwoofer or two to fill out the low end.
Armor-all Sue "Sam Tellig" (Gillet) of Stereophile. He's the clod who told people to use the destructive Armorall.
PS Audio P300 ? PS is adding yet another variation to it (knock it off, P!), so peeple get the urge to get the "latest & greatest."The original was just fine. The multiwave added nothing but $300 to the price.
Mid-Fi Amp/Preamp for Martin Logans I had ML Aerius, and would advise using at least a tubed amp, fussy as they can be. Not sure what your definition of "mid-fi" is... the ML's are not mid-fi. Try a VTL Stereo 80 or similar amp which provides at least 40 watts/channel.For pre, you c... |
